Will miss games against Ipswich and Posh at end of August/start of September. Could have done without that.

He will miss the games against Ipswich, Peterborough, Bury (if they're still in existence) and Doncaster. Potentially also further games next March. We knew the position when we signed him as he was playing for Grenada last season.

Why not waterfall I personally rate waterfall more than Beckles Ricketts doesn't, that's what matters I guess.

Why not waterfall I personally rate waterfall more than Beckles Ricketts doesn't, that's what matters I guess. I just can’t see waterfall going now to be honest. Think he’ll be still here until January. Think it would be suicidal to get rid. At moment we got 5 center backs in Pierre Beckles Williams landell and waterfall. When Pierre goes that’s four and let’s be honest no one has a crystal ball and can look in the future that the other centre backs don’t get injured or suspended at the same point Pierre goes. So if I was Ricketts I’d keep waterfall here for a bit longer

Of course Ricketts rates Waterfall, he played in nearly every game when he was in charge last season when there were other options available. He's just down the pecking order at the moment due to new signings who Ricketts prefers.
"He's a lad I really like and he's done very, very well for us and he understands the situation. He's still part of what we're doing here. I can't guarantee him football and he's obviously aware of that. As for everything else that's just football and we're take care of that as and when it happens. He's perfectly part of what we want to do here. A great lad loved by the players and myself as well."

The lad has every right to represent his country and we knew this when we signed him, the fact that they are poor matters not.
Good luck to him and I echo the sentiments above....good for him and good for the club.

Beckles looks the likely replacement for Ro Shaun Williams or Pierre. I think it may be Waterfall if Ebanks Landell is out

Pierre would probably say that ze is a proud Grenadian and so ze cannot really turn this opportunity down. He's from the Nprth, but he's Greneda through and through, sort of. But who is going to turn down the opportunity to play international football anyway they can? Something to tell the grandkids and, possibly, an unlikely upset against a country big on the world stage some time.

I hate the 3 international rule it should be 1, simple as that That rule would only come into play for the Peterborough match whether 1 or 3 players as that is the scheduled International weekend. Clubs never received concessions for the African Cup of Nations when that was held during our season. As Ricketts says, it was accepted that he would be missing

Pierre was a key signing, Ricketts said he was his number one target for his position, so he wouldn't have been put off at the prospect of losing him for a few games a season like this. Caldwell also mentioned in his update the other day that the fee for Pierre was the third highest the club have ever paid for a player.
