if you check my contribution I was very honest with what I put and was totally on topic, I added a little bit of humour to it, but because I wasn't on the 3 year he's s**t bandwagon I got singled out, so up yours mr grudge bearer Oh, humour was it? Good job you've clarified that because I suspect you were chuckling alone. Haven't you got any lessons this afternoon? wow Pilch told a joke, lets discuss it, ffs bore off with your obsessive grudge

Think to get this thread back on topic we could do with one of the Scunny/Salop Ultras giving their view on Pyke's time at Scunny.
Mortgagehound - has Pyke done enough in his limited game time to warrant more playing time? Inspector Swan - Is Joe Nuttall really a better option than Pyke? I know the whole team is sadly a shambles, but I just don't get the hype. Schizo - If Keith Hill doesn't take "us" into the next season, do you think Pyke could be a statement signing to spearhead next season's promotion push?
I'd offer my thoughts, but this deep dive video compilation of Rory Watson's flaws as a goalkeeper are taking up all my available time rn.

Not too sad to see Scunny go down. We played them on the day we went into administration, a televised FA Cup game. Their fans destroyed us all through, and some of the stick we got outside the ground was incredible. Contrast that with a group of Brighton fans travelling up to the game to show us support. What goes around comes around.

Great memories of my last visit to Scunny. Winning the title in 94, still remember the reception their fans gave us that day (possibly due to Cardiff City winning the title there the previous year and the atmosphere not being quite as good....).
Hopefully they will come back soon.

Good to see Doctorproctor and Grizzly joining the Scunny alliance. We'll be back. Who is joining Scunny in going down? Still a few games to go but Oldham looking the favourite after yesterday. Stevenage and Barrow (how did they thrash FGR by that many???) winning and both having a game in hand certainly have the edge now. If Oldham go it will be another established league club that has been seriously missed managed.

Many heartfelt thanks for skilfully trying to steer this thread back on topic. Lest we forget, mortgagehound’s original intention was to enshrine the special bond he wanted to foster between Salop and Scunny. However, I’m sure he’s delighted at any and all contributions of a Scunny related nature. Very much a case of ‘come one, come all’ I suspect. To answer your specific question, I’m personally big on Joe Nuttall and thought it a travesty he was unceremoniously dropped yesterday. It just goes to show that football is a game of opinions as others who post here would tell you that Nuttall should be offloaded this summer. Full disclosure: my view might be unduly influenced by the lord volumes of NEIPA and DDHIPA I like to see off on a pre-Glanford crawl (“he drinks”).

The believers are counting it as a Pyke strike.
It’s like a better version of Sadio Mane’s against Steffen in the FA Cup semi-final.

Looks like there is now a special relationship between Scunny and Bristol Rovers, in addition to the one fostered between Scunny and Salop.
The Cobblers, on the other hand, must be fuming at mortgagehound’s second team.

Much to Northampton's disgust, Keith Hill turned out a severely weakened team.
7-0 was the end result.

Cheerio to Sc***horpe
They may win the accolade of the worst ground in national league next season. At this rate they may well be worth a bet of going straight to league North.

Well, was it a "PYKE THUNDERBOLT" that forced the own goal? In which case, give the lad some credit.
Putting it down as a Bass own goal sounds a bit fishy to me.

Certainly feeling the effects this morning of a surreal away day. Myself and MortgageHound were in fits of laughter as the goals kept flooding in, South Stand Salopian turned to me and said "football, bloody hell" as the sixth rolled in, and I'm pretty sure I saw Schizo and Chirkshrew joining the pitch invasions after the seventh - who can blame them. Good to see even more Salopians in the away end than usual given that Shrewsbury "Hound's second team" Town weren't playing.
Credit to the Bristol Rovers fans who were a good bunch, and had the decency to buy us a round of Tequila slammers in the Highbury Vaults.
Looking forward to some confy away games next season, see you all there.

I don’t blame them, but there is no way they will get the game replayed and Rovers did nothing wrong. Sc***horpe may be punished heavily, either by way of a fine or a points deduction next season.

I agree that Northanpton will never get the game replayed, they better put all their efforts into the Play-Offs rather than crying over this. But on Scunny I do disagree, they did only make three changes and played the players who were in their squad lists. If we were in their position we would’ve been totally within our right to play Jaden Bevan in goal against Wigan to see where he his in his development here. Scunny shouldn’t feel the need feel forced to play their best team just to please for integrity reasons.

Keith Hill's another one of these frauds that consistently gets jobs for reasons unknown.
Although I don't think he's done anything wrong in this case.
If Northampton's case is resting on the fact that Sc***horpe 'didn't play their strongest squad' then I'd love to know who should have played given that their best has amassed a grand total of 26 points all season.
Cobblers have ended the season with 4 wins from 5 and enter the playoffs in decent form.
They should be concentrating on the fairly decent chance they've still got of going up.
