The Dundee match saw the unveiling of Towns new coach which is to be used for away games. Dundee used it for travelling to the Meadow from their Telford hotel as they flew down from Scotland. Ironically on a day town played Scottish opposition the coach was previously used by Aberdeen and is very low mileage. White in colour it is yet to have the towns logo on it but has all the mod cons you would expect to see on a coach used by the very top clubs. Seeing it reminded me of the good old days when the club and away supporters would use Vaggs buses. No such things as toilets and kitchens in those days. Had the chance to have a look at the Man Utd coach when they visited the Meadow a couple of years ago. It was approaching the full time whistle and the coach chef was busy preparing the post match meal for the players. A different world even from towns posh new coach. Anyone else got memories of away travel with Vaggs.

I wouldn't think for one minute that the club have bought it, probably Longmynd have purchased it and will use it for their own work when not required by the club.
The cost of these coaches are well in excess of what we have ever paid for a player.

Oddly I remember the smells more. A heady mix of fart, beer breath and cigarette smoke 😂👍

I can't see why the team can't use the bus in this link. www.shropshirestar.com/news/nostalgia/2018/09/15/bus-puzzle-for-those-who-know-their-inions/Ahh, Carpenter's luxury coaches. That brings back memories. For those that know Bishops Castle, the garage was where Harley Jenkins car park is now. We had Juan driver who loved his beer. When he was driving the late bus back from Shrewsbury, you were late at your peril. He drove the bus to it's absolute limit, throwing his alarmed passengers about by reaching speeds in excess of 25mph. Then when he got back to The Caaaastle just after the 10pm closing time, he'd run up to the Black Lion, charge in and order a bar of chocolate. There always happened to be 2 pints of mild by his chocolate.

What was wrong with the existing coach being shown off at the open day? Seemed state of the art with all expected mod cons and the height of luxury, only used a couple of years with very smart paint job and personalised STFC number.... Im asking as I’d like to know the difference with what seemed to be a great coach? Seem to remember Llanymynechshrew is the resident coach expert? www.longmyndtravel.co.uk/latest-news

A kitchen? Blimey, a sign of the times or just how the other half live? As more than the once I saw the away coach parked outside the chippy on Abbey Foregate after a game at the old Meadow.

I’ve had a complaint that you’re distributing erroneous intel on bus timetables for journeys from Kidderminster to Worcester. My apologies. I used to regularly travel on the 315 to get to cricket matches in Worcester. I didn't realise the service was withdrawn in 1977! midlandred.net/service.php?service=315&operator=bmmo&page=overview

We tend to think the flashier the oppo coach parked outside the Power League ...the limper the players
