Unsurprisingly, he's already known to SR. Mind you, my information might be well off the mark! Good luck Robert Earnshaw. John hartson or ian rush I heard

I can’t help but think he will be back - a certain players father seemed to think so a few weeks ago but he’s now scoring goals in pre season friendlies at Stoke which may have changed things Which players [sic] father was it? John Aldridge? Cuco Martina? Jay Denny?

Tyler Walker, Jason Cummings, Josh Magennis, Niall Ennis, Bright Enobakhare, Tyrese Campbell - who knows who it will be but unlikely anything will happen if he’s from a top club until after August 8

A name that was brought to my attention several weeks ago as one that Ricketts and the club have made enquiries about - no one has commented about him when I’ve put his name forward on here - who knows? There is Scottish interest too but I suspect his wage demands would be too high

It sounds like he won't sign for anyone for another two weeks while serving the notice he has given to Bolton. If we are one of the many clubs interested, according to that article, would we be prepared to wait that long and potentially miss out elsewhere?

Campbell is looking more doubtful unless Stoke sign another forward today. Not sure on the latest with Cummings.

Mark Duffy joins Stoke on a season long loan. Sheffield United fans are clearly sorry to see him go.

I'm intrigued to see how the next part of the transfer window pans out and the domino effect. Players who've been nudged down pecking order at championship clubs and if they go out on loan in England, then league 1 is highest league available.
I'm not saying we could get such players, but Jasin Cummings, Zac Clough who's been mentioned, but looking at Bristol City Matty Taylor ex Rovers striker may need to be loaned out. And with ongoing Bolton problems Oztumer may want away. We as well as other league one teams could have pick of a decent group of players!

Would provide something different to what we currently have up front. Öztümer is a player that I have alway rated highly but I think better teams than us would be interested. I think it definitely helps the lower league clubs out by having the deadline later.

We can go for players in last year of contract and get on loan or buy permanent now or later after initial loan. Plus like Liam Walsh rumour, quality youngsters who have not got a championship move now have league 1 as next option. Maybe even a Ro Shaun Williams scenario where we buy a U23s player permanently if they want to start getting regular first team games where it matters.

Kind of you to say so but this one is just a shot in the dark, I actually think there’s some mileage left in Tyrese Campbell and reckon he will be back

We treat our loans well and they kick on ala Godfrey and Henderson. An abiding memory is Deano with his arm around Roland leading the singing of "There's only one Roland Wycherley"

I will be looking to see if Campbell is in the Stoke 18 travelling to Charlton today. If he isn't, they may as well give him a free transfer to us. They can have 25% sell on when Peterborough offer us £4 million for him.

Stoke now only have four forwards in their squad, including Campbell, and the transfer window is closed for them. In those circumstances I would be surprised if they let any of their strikers leave, that would put them in the same position we're currently in regarding cover for forward positions.

So that's Campbell, Evans, Magennis and Ekobakhare crossed off. So who is now in the frame?

There will be plenty of strikers in under-23 sides in the Premier League and The Championship who we could bring in on loan, plus strikers in Leagues 1 & 2, or lower, that we could potentially sign. There is plenty of time yet before the window closes, but it's clear at the moment that the side is short of goals so hopefully it won't be left for too long.
