All home attendances so far since the B teams came in.
Average with Yeovil - 2,103 and average without it 1.816.
All during a period where we have grown our crowds!
Great success. LOL

I disagree with under 23 teams being in the competition but I think I read that the prize fund was increased due to it... We must’ve gained from this a lot last year.
Would be better to invite National League teams into the competition.

Would be better to invite National League teams into the competition. They did about 10 years or so ago, wasnt a success either. TBH it would be far better to have just the bottom 2 divisions in it and no other teams. I know the numbers dont quite stack up to make the latter knock out stages but there could be either play offs or best non qualifiers from those who just miss out to make those numbers up. Surely the sponsors would like to see attendances improve if only slightly.

Invite 8 teams from the National League, six teams from the Scottish Championship, and the champions of Wales and Northern Ireland to make it 64 clubs, make it straight knockout all the way and then kick out the B teams, job done!

Interesting idea but the Scots got their first plus teams from Rep Ireland

Shall also be continuing the boycott, including any potential final.

Needs completely boycotting. Those who attend won't have the right to complain when we're playing Everton B.

If it involves "B teams", then yes, i would, as should everyone else who wants to protect the format of our domestic game.

as usual I will decide maybe on the day which games I attend , this will be based on if I can be bothered or not
I won't pretend the games I don't go to are due to a pointless silent boycott that does nothing
the games are reasonably priced , at least its all above board with teams being officially called under 23 etc it could quite easily be said that we are playing the likes of the "Man City" and then we get annoyed as they only fielded a side of kids
last season ferjiri pretty much announced himself as "ready" when he bagged a hat trick v Tranmere

I’ll only be boycotting the competition where higher league youth teams have artificially been inserted as a clear smokescreen for the eventual insertion of B teams into the lower league structure. Rather than the one that, y’know, has always had higher league teams in it. Bizarre comparison.

We are guaranteed 3 games...and without reserve fixtures it at least gives an opportunity for squad players to get some game time.

Looking forward to it, another chance to get a good cup run and keep players match fit who might not be auto starters

Will stick to my usual stance - wont be going to any games and people should of course be free to attend games if they wish without being called names.
However those people should not complain if in the future our league structure is effectively downgraded by the introduction of B Teams, because those people simply went along with the Premier League/EFL's plans under the guise of 'supporting my team'.

Does anybody REALLY thank that by boycotting games you are going to stop any future change? (light blue touch paper and retire)

Does anybody REALLY thank that by boycotting games you are going to stop any future change? (light blue touch paper and retire) And equally does anyone think that introducing b teams into the football league is likely, after seeing how it has worked in this competition ? They can’t even get a sponsor for it. I generally go, but I enjoy reserve games and pre season friendlies as well

That's the point scooter, if people had not boycotted it and were not against it would be happily moving along with sponsors and giving them a chance to look at it more widely. The line many drew in the sand has basically taken the credibility away from the idea and almost stopped B team integration further which everyone else should be pleased about. Now to keep fighting to roll it back altogether. I dont have an issue with whatever side of the debate/argument you fall. But I do think the boycott, appalling crowds and general negative attitude to the trophy that prevails (which resulted in the EFL yesterday saying fans should be "reeducated" on it) is a show that you can only push some fans so far. Anyway, nice to get a local team in the first round. Newcastle must be buzzing about that draw

Even at £5 a ticket I won't be attending. Concessions are £1.....jeez, it'll cost more to print the ticket than the revenue it generates. The sooner this shambolic competition is canned the better.
