Once the nakedly ambitious one is chosen, I fully expect the blue rinse brigade to say it was a democratic vote....you lost get over it !!!

Once the nakedly ambitious one is chosen, I fully expect the blue rinse brigade to say it was a democratic vote....you lost get over it !!! Puzzles me that if he is so nakedly ambitious why did he allow himself to get pushed out of the race last time, just when the leavers needed a mini Trump to go charging in all guns blazing and then retract a little and, of course, the all guns blazing approach would have meant government and business might have actually prepared for something approaching a no deal Brexit, rather than just having "no deal" left on the table as a supposed threat that, if it happened, would hurt us more than the EU. I always assumed the oily one wanted May to fail and then ride in and save Brexit, but if he thinks that's possible at this stage then he has a very big opinion of himself or is as daft as some think.

Why ? I’m asking a serious question. I now see Boris isn’t joining his Tory colleagues .I don’t know why . Mind you they all say how brilliant they are at negotiating and will see us leave the EU with a wonderful deal . Gove reckons Corbyn would be shaking in his shoes to do battle over the dispatch box. All riveting stuff , put it on and have a laugh . The main man is missing though which is a shame .

Giving Channel Four News a swerve won't do Johnson any harm at all. It's viewing figures are tumbling for good reason. And the Guardian...

Maybe , Boris is listening to his advisers but will it do him any favours. I thought Rory came across quite well . All to play for then.

59% of the people that will elect the next Tory leader voted for the Brexit party a few weeks back. Only 19% voted for the party that they pay their membership dues to.
It seems that there is only one issue for most Tories and that is out Faraging Farage, which means Johnson will breeze into No.10 in a few weeks and no matter how good Stewart or any of the the others do in these debates, there is nothing to stop him.
How have we as a country fallen so far?
Sorry for the express link
Off to bleach my computer now, be back in a while.

It just needs repeating time and time again. The whole Brexit thing from the very start of the Conservative manifesto in 2015 has been about the good of the Tory party and not to the benefit of the country.

Boris for Prime Minister is the key to Corbyn getting into No 10. I'm fine with that.

Just needs repeating again that every step the referendum has gone through it has been democratically approved. From the idea in the Conservatives 2015 general election manifesto, which they won. It passed through Parliament with a majority of 493 when the governments majority was about 5. Then leave won the referendum. Then parliament voted to implement Article 50 by a massive majority. Some people only like democracy when it produces the result they want.

Remoaners are just like JRM, IDS, Farage etc whose views on democracy were/are the same, then. No wait a minute, Remoaners are consistent with their views, unlike the rogues (chameleons) galaxy previously mentioned.

As parliament is so keen on referendums, all they need to do is vote overwhelmingly for a confirmatory referendum and then we can draw the line under this whole affair.

Otherwise we will be stuck with the other one which will be no real change from having boring old Theresa in charge.

How perfect these past 24 hours have been as a demonstration to the world of the moral bankruptcy and stupidity of the Tory party.
Mark Field, (anyone see the revolting picture of him kissing Jeremy Hunt’s wife?), Chris Davies & now the domestic horrors of Boris Johnson. Dear God, the state of it. To paraphrase the Pet Shop Boys, what have we done to deserve this?

That's a point actually With Field and Davies probably going to be losing their roles as MPs, and given the various other Tories that stepped down from the party to either be independent or go to change uk, how big a majority with the dup do they even have now? And how are they going to keep the DUP onboard?

Wow. The neighbour who called the police certainly went to great lengths to obtain proof that the incident took place! When contacted by the Guardian on Friday, police initially said they had no record of a domestic incident at the address. But when given the case number and reference number, as well as identification markings of the vehicles that were called out, police issued a statement saying: “At 00:24hrs on Friday, 21 June, police responded to a call from a local resident in [south London]. The caller was concerned for the welfare of a female neighbour. The neighbour said they recorded the altercation from inside their flat out of concern for Symonds. On the recording, heard by the Guardian, Johnson can be heard refusing to leave the flat and telling Symonds to “get off my f...ing laptop” before there is a loud crashing noise. Symonds is heard saying Johnson had ruined a sofa with red wine: “You just don’t care for anything because you’re spoilt. You have no care for money or anything.” The neighbour said: “There was a smashing sound of what sounded like plates. There was a couple of very loud screams that I’m certain were Carrie and she was shouting to ‘get out’ a lot. She was saying ‘get out of my flat’ and he was saying no. And then there was silence after the screaming. My partner, who was in bed half asleep, had heard a loud bang and the house shook.” www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jun/21/police-called-to-loud-altercation-at-boris-johnsons-homeCareful Boris. I'm sure Ms Symonds knows where a few bodies are buried.

Johnson in domestic rage? Johnson, the man the refuses to acknowledge the existence of his own children?
Not a great role model is he?
But then again that not what's the country should really be worried about, it's his serial lying, laziness and incompetence that we should be worried about.

Couple have row shock. You do get the feeling that things are going to crank up to an altogether different level once May is eventually replaced. A whole lot nastier, a whole lot sillier, a whole lot more desperate...
