I am definitely against discrimination, however not sure how I feel about positive discrimination. Discussion to follow I am sure

Is there a statistic to show BAME player % across the EFL against BAME management % across the EFL?

I don't see an issue with this at all. I mean football clubs are not limited to who they can interview, as far as I can see they are still free to appoint who they like. Not as if anyone will be discriminated against because of this initiative...

If too few BAME applicants are forthcoming how are clubs supposed to follow these rules?
I am a firm believer in inclusion, but how will this be policed? If there are 40 applicants for the next job at Salop and only 15 are suitably qualified and none of them are BAME are we going to interview an applicant that has no chance off getting the job?

Cue lots of (no doubt) older, white men saying “what’s the problem? I see no discrimination - except against white men.”
When you’ve worked out why Steve Gerrard & Frank Lampard got the jobs they did, while Paul Ince & Sol Campbell started at Macclesfield, then the conversation might be worth having. Until then, well done EFL!
