Yeah, not the best game. One or two decent saves though which I think highlighted again the standard of goalkeeping now in the womans game. I mean it used to be a running joke that, I'd day that's been put to bed now (at the very least at highest level anyhow). Was a great hit to win the game. Good point about the goalkeeping. I've been impressed with some of the keepers in the tournament, although I think England could be a bit better there. The size of women goalkeepers relative to the frame of the goals is a factor when they're compared to men; it's almost always going to be a bit easier to find the net when the keeper is smaller. Slightly smaller goals for women's football would certainly help the keepers impress more but it would also reduce the number of goals scored. Not sure but I'd probably keep the same size goals. you would think that reducing the size of the goals would make sense but opinion seems divided. "England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley believes reducing the size of goals in the women's game would jeopardise the fight for equality in football." www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/05/29/reducing-size-womens-goals-would-not-help-fight-equality-says/

Mark Sampson the ex England manager has been appointed first team coach at Stevenage. Good to see him back in football. Not sure if he is banned from the womens game. Always liked him as the England manager but obviously not all good behind the scenes.

In a first for a female referee the World Cup final referee is to take charge of the UEFA Super Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea. good news she was very good in the final and allowed it be a physical game my only criticism both teams tried simulation in the box to try and get a penalty and neither player was punished.
