Yes I’ve just been reading up about him. They contact him rarely on business matters.

I get that, such a shame though, I guess he doesn't appreciate the Freddie replacements either Who knows but John Deacon retired many years before Lambert joined. This aerticle covers the reasons for his retirment www.smoothradio.com/artists/queen/john-deacon-roger-taylor-interview/"Roger Taylor and Brian May have spoken about John Deacon quitting Queen, explaining what happened in the aftermath of Freddie Mercury's death and their total belief that Queen was finished."

There’s been some great scenes and celebrations over the long weekend, and then there was Sir Rod. I’ve heard better renditions of Sweet Caroline in pub karaoke.
God Save the Queen, such a frail old lady now and feels a bit like the end of an era.

God Save the Queen.
A great weekend of festivities that will live long in the memory.
Thank you, ma'am.

Any republicans, or anti-monarchists on these pages would do well to remember this;
All countries have a head of state, sometimes elected, as in the case of France, or the USA where, by the very nature of the democratic process, they are divisive figures. Some, as in the case of Germany have a president who stands above current politics, but is invariably chosen from the ranks of old, re-cycled and largely failed politicians. Anyone know the name of the current German President? Thought not.
When you look around at our own appalling political landscape, I'm sure that most would agree that our monarchy is the far more preferable option.
