Young Daniel James is attracting the attention of Man United . We had him on loan but only played him once I think . Obviously not considered good enough . United think otherwise . Annoys me I have to admit , how many more players have we had and considered them not good enough only to see them perform like heroes elsewhere ? We really are bloody useless at times . Still , we have had the pleasure of seeing the Shop in action and a few more ‘ stars so mustn’t complain .

And just who would you have dropped to accommodate James?

Andre Gray and Marc Pugh are 2 that come to mind.

According to Lewis Cox there's a specific reason why he didn't play for Town & he'll be reporting on these details over the summer.

Wasn't it something to do with him not settling in area or personal reasons?

And just who would you have dropped to accommodate James? Who knows ? I didn’t see enough of him to comment . Obviously Hurst et al did but with Leeds and Man U showing a lot of interest I can only assume there were markers that indicated that he was a very good player . Perhaps if he had played we could have turned those draws into wins to gain automatic promotion and perhaps could have done better at Wembley if we hadn’t. Hurst did well for us no doubt but could have done better . The two Wembley matches were dreadful . Yes , we finished higher than for many seasons but so what , we achieved next to nothing . My point is that we appeared to have a very , very good player on loan and didn’t play him . That , rightly or wrongly annoys me .

I look forward to his report on James . It could be that his attitude stank , if so , fair enough , I can understand why he wasn’t picked .

Without knowing the truth but wonder if by being sent back was a reality check. If you cannot get a game for a team who normally flirt with relegation to league 2 then you may need to knuckle down and work hard.
Interestingly similar things said in a article I saw earlier today from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who when on loan with us was unfit. being released at the time by his parent club and having to start again to climb up the leagues.
Ollie norburn and Shaun Whalley have said similar about needing to work harder and prove they can perform at the current level.

He said himself in an interview recently that whilst he was with us his head wasn't in the right place. Are we still useless?

Rodders was so effective in that season and represented what we were about.
James is probably more talented but would he have been better for the team? Who knows.
Clearly something went wrong for him to get sent back.

Pleased to report that I played a key role in his return to Swansea. Fingerprints do stay on my database for quite some time.

Young James must have used the Heart of Wales line to get back to Swansea . How he must have enjoyed hearing you shout Tickets Please, a truly great moment . Hope you were suitably dressed at all times and wore your regulation hat.

The lads father has just died resulting in him withdrawing from the Wales squad. Must be devastating especially if possibility of signing for Man Utd. What a proud day that would have been for both of them.

I hope he goes on to make his family even prouder by having a wonderful career for club and country .
