Donโt like the home one at all, material might look better it person and with the actual size not 2 sizes bigger then SW is used too! Donโt mind the away one, the sponsor looks a lot better then the Tuffins one. As others have said, home one could quite easily be a Sunday league top.

The home kit is a disaster, but the away kit may turn out to be a best-seller!
I feel we've really missed an opportunity here to have created something quite memorable.
But the home is a let down & I suspect they'll realise that by Monday morning.

Home kit is a bit meh.
Would have liked to see the away kit design as the home kit, I think it would look very nice in blue and amber.

And really not sure about purple. All very well the players coming up with something but when it comes to replica kit it really ought to be something the fans will wear out and about on the streets. Not sure purple is right for that. Can't say I've ever worn purple...nor likely to either... I agree, I think purple is a real 'marmite' colour, that people may either love or really dislike with less middle ground. I wonder how much consideration was given to how much the second kit may clash with opposition kits as opposed to how much weight was given to the commercial aspects of the decision? It's all very well Ricketts saying it's a colour he likes etc but we may not end up wearing it that much, or needing to wear it that much. If blue and amber clashes then does wearing purple help out much in those games, or will we just end up playing quite a few games in a third kit?

A question for those who have said they don't like the new home shirt.
Is this because of the perceived lack of quality, shinyness etc or because of the actual design?
I ask because the design doesn't look that far removed from blue and amber designs used in the past, for example the 'Ajax' style shirt used in our last season at Gay Meadow.

Have they purposely made the front of the home kit into a H?
H for Harry Tuffins, maybe?
We could have done so much better, especially with the heritage that Admiral ought bring to the table.

The home shirt looks like Shrewsbury Town wrapping paper.
As others have said if the home shirt clashes with other teams then there's a good chance purple will as well which will leave it a little used alternative.

Bear in mind they are asking for ยฃ40+ for this. Be honest you can buy better quality in Primark for less!

That Ajax design looked dated in 2005. The quality of kits made by MG Sportswear etc was very poor. This looks baggy and misshapen in the media photos.
People want Blue and Amber stripes.
Every kit competition ends in Blue and Amber stripes.
Every poll ends in Blue and Amber stripes.
We know that the club don't want them every season because they think people will not buy a similar looking shirt but that is not proven in sales.
That is why previous kit competitions have been stacked against blue and amber stripes, to the point of the results themselves being called into question, and now there is no poll at all and no blue and amber stripes.
It just seems daft to me.

The Club clearly has learnt its lesson and has not risked putting these designs out to a vote with other options available.
They had more than enough problems in persuading us about Kit C last time!

The centre stripe is a lot thinner and there 2 thinner stripes either side of it. My preferred choice is stripes, but this isn't bad, and there's enough amber. We have had a lot worse kits in our recent history.

It's a No from me to both kits sadly. The home one just looks bland with added cheapness. As someone said earlier, looks like a Mansfield kit some yrs back. I was secretly hoping for an all white change kit similar to that one from the beginning of the 80s.my fave away kit.

Purple kit is really nice - smart and different.
Home kit just looks a bit meh. Like the blue and amber obs - not got a lot else going for it. Hopefully the real thing will be better than the tent like prototype.

Like the purple kit. As for the first kit, well, just another head-scratcher really, with all the design possibilities we managed to come up with that. Particularly dislike the effect of the amber collar combined with the amber central stripe / box. Looks odd.

If we had an off the peg striped kit, like Sunderland, Stoke etc, in our colours and with our sponsor it would look distinctive. It would also have the advantage of looking good and, probably, being better made.

Unfortunately that's just not going to happen as when we talk about 'off the peg' you're going to struggle to get anything in blue and amber. The issue we have is our colours. Blue and amber just isn't available, more so blue and amber stripes. I doubt Nike have anything we can use otherwise we would. Many clubs do go for 'off the peg' designs but can easily do so as it's a perfect fit for their club colours. We don't have that option. If for example its blue shirts then you could take your pick. If we want to continue with blue and amber we have to reach out to the likes of Errea and Admiral and request something bespoke.

Hope Tuffins are paying us a shed load for the size of that logo... talk about over-sized! My Mrs just can't stop laughing at 'Tuffins'. I suppose it does have a sort of 'Carry on' feel to it...anyhow... Speaking of over-sized she also mentioned that the sleeves look too big and the shirt clearly doesn't fit the player. She also commented on it looking very shiny and a little cheap, that you wouldn't want to smoke too close to it... Always nice to get the opinion of those looking from the outside in...

A real mish mash of a shirt. I really thought Admiral could have been more innovative in their design. I wonder how many designs they submitted for consideration?

I think there was a home game a few years ago, it may have been against Rochdale, where they wore a purple kit and we wore blue and amber and it wasn't that easy to distinguish between the players at times. If we play away at a side who wear mainly blue I wouldn't be surprised if the referee doesn't allow us to play in purple.

If the sleeves/general fit was better, I think it'd look decent.
Maybe they only had a L size available for Shaun to wear!
