Did the huracan take it up personally considering such boisterous opposition tweeted yesterday? Yep, during my series of late difficult questions. People were asking online so i asked him about the calls on Sadler, Shop and Cook He gave measured and reasonable answers to all Summary Sadler - Thinks its time to move on, its his call. They have never fallen out. Acknoldeged the role has has had at the club and the respect he has, but likened it to when he was binned by Wolves by Jackett after winning the league as captain with a record points total. He didn't get it at the time but a few years later he did. Its his call, just one of those many calls in football you have to make. Matt wants to play still, SR cant promise him what he wants. Cook - We are going to have THREE contracted goal keepers which is different to what we normally are used to. As such Cook has knowledge of the club, can provide back up and is a good character to have around. Again Ricketts call that is worth it (my @rseumption for the lowish wage he might be on). I dont rate him PERSONALLY and dont see him ever getting much game time if a decent keeper (loan or contracted) comes in to be number 1 which is what I expect. Seems Cook is happy (if he signed) to have a season on the fringes again. Shop - Its just about the clubs duty of care, and it felt like this comes from the Chairman. If we bin him, he cant earn any money at all and would ne be able to for an extended period of time. No RULE that means we have to offer him a contact, its just being done as its felt to be the "right thing". PERSONALLY - I can see that, but again i cant see him playing much of a part in the season. Ricketts Likes his attitude and desire. I didn't PERSONALLY fully buy how he view him, but listening to him and others I can see why its good for the club to be shown to look after players. I just dont believe the player would show us that same respect. Im 50/50 on the whole thing still. Also We didnt not discuss contract lenghts. could be 6 months for all we know. I like to make comments on twitter and here, its my view, but i will always back it up and ask the questions direct given the chance, otherwise whats the point. He looked me dead in the eye and gave me reasons I can mostly understand, and dont doubt he is telling an honest story. I like the bloke in all honesty, he could or could not be good for us long term, but I cant feel anything other than wanting him to succeed, and John Pitts. I warm to both of them more than Hurst (more distant) and Mellon (pretty confrontational at times although he was funny) who I have also met I did also say, if we lose the opening three I will still be slagging him off He talks the talk, anyone who listens to him at these meetings, his Q and A, the awards nights or anywhere else will attest to that. Next season he has to walk the walk with an improved performance level and improved results. Thanks Glyn appreciate the summary.

Those who attended have invited q's on here. Hence my question (which wasn't to you). Is there an issue with I have asked pilch? not really, but it seems you are just trying to chase someone into the corner for the sake of it he was not the only one getting excited yesterday thats part of being a football fan no real need for an inquest is there Im asking a question to someone who runs a prominent and cited twitter account and podcast and attendee at a meeting a question I'm interested in hearing the answer to. Honestly pilch your behaviour in recent days hounding boad members and hypocrisy is really trying.

There will be a space, Ricketts threatened (jokingly) to ban Ollie off the podcast for being mean its interesting that he listens to the podcast. Is this the first manager to admit to doing so? Not sure Sam listens, but Jon Pitt certainly does, and he will be reading this. I think it was just something Ollie said last night, but I don’t always hear everything

Ahh?? Another secret meeting with ‘the chosen few’?! Pretty sure we were told to put our names forward for the next one if we wanted to attend?? Be nice to know when it was though.....? I’m sure if you’d put your name forward you’d have been told, did you? To who? When? And where?

But John does, I suspect as part of his role to feed back to the gaffer the fan vibes and also out of interest. I know he does as he mentioned it several times, and then at the end said of the latest podcast your brother was really good but i dont agree with your dad (for reference my dad said the fitness excuse was weak and had a massive go at Waterfall LOL)

I’m sure if you’d put your name forward you’d have been told, did you? To who? When? And where? There was an article on the website after the first meeting with an SP contact email address It was posted here and all over twitter and facebook. It goes to the SP and was open and still is for people to get involved It was pretty widespread including the first meeting thread we had.

I don’t come on here to argue with people, rub them up the wrong way or insult anyone. I merely offer my opinion. If anyone doesn’t agree with it, fine. Just a reasoned debate would be great. If it has come across that I have offended, belittled or sniped at anyone, then I apologise

I had meetings with Jake King when he was manager many years ago after being very critical of him in letters to the local paper. He was very pleasant and gave very acceptable explanations to all my questions. Obviously a lot goes on behind the scenes which we don't get to know about. I was very supportive of him after my meetings just like what is going on with SR. That is until he got the sack a short time later.

At least Payne hasnt been offered a deal............ I thought he might be the loanee that to be here next year referred to in Pilch’s summing up but he also confirmed Sam would only entertain:- sam only wants to sign players willing to give 100%, they must be as fit as a fiddle, quick, and even be willing enough to move here too
Read more: blueandamber.proboards.com/thread/99177/tonights#ixzz5nRGaOLbPI think fit as a fiddle’ and ‘quick’ rule him out and he also stated he wants to be nearer London when he moved to Bristol so couldn’t happen............ or could it??

At least Payne hasnt been offered a deal............ Yet. I strongly suspect that he's the one loan signing that has said that he is extremely keen to come back here. Let's face it, he knows he's not wanted at Bristol Rovers.

Shrewsbury - London 168.1 miles. Just over 50 miles difference. I'm less than convinced this was the reason.

Did anyone ask Ricketts if he'd had a good chuckle at Wrexhams latest failing?

So we are not looking for a new goalkeeper. Go for another loan late on in the window again I reckon.

I was never sure what the panic was really yesterday obviously finding a keeper that could be number 1 won't be an easy matter we may not even find better than what we already have luckily I'm only 50 and still better than both ;-)

I'm absolutely furious about this. If SR thinks that Charles Cook and LJL are worth new contracts then I can only come to the following conclusions. 1. SR isn't up to the job. 2. Because others might think so, he's only been given licence to shop in the bargain basement. 3. We shall be in another relegation dogfight. This...

We've had the answer from the horses mouth, Charles-Cook will be a second/third keeper and LJL is out of being a good employer and assisting him through his injury. Whilst initially it didn't look great, i'd imagine they'll both be on low(ish) wages.

At least Payne hasnt been offered a deal............ Glad about that. Saw him in the pub after the Coventry game smoking. Wouldn’t fit into SR’s ‘they need to be fit as hell to play’ philosophy.

Then again I’m sure there must be Premier League players who enjoy a toke. Seems to recall a few Arsenal players being caught recently. I suppose they’re human, but you need to be very very good to be able to get away with it!!! Payne ain’t.

after kepping lewis and cook (as he will be third choice i would have preffered to have not sent Gregory on loan and shown cook the door) , just relived payne has not been given a contract .if ricketts had kept all three i would have really thought ricketts had lost the plot.
