pop just them 2 into any bottom half league 1 side this season and they would have been pushing for the play offs instead

2 of the best loan signings we’ve ever had.

Totally agree, absolutely brilliant for us, and if Godfrey does go to utd he will not let them down.but I have to say that most of the Shrewsbury players from last season were great to be honest

It’s funny that we thought it was largely just a bunch of hard workers punching well above our weight last season but in fact we had 3 players of absolute top quality to match Wigan & Blackburn’s plethora of talent.
Never wanted two players (particularly Godfrey) to do so well after leaving us.

Never wanted two players (particularly Godfrey) to do so well after leaving us. Just wondering who you're thinking of as the third. Nolan maybe? I still think our good season was primarily down to a bunch of hard workers collectively amounting to more than the sum of the individual parts. Godfrey and Henderson were great for us but I've no doubt they're much better now than they were a year ago. That's how it is with young loanees at our level - we get them on the way up, learning and making mistakes, not when they're anything like the finished article. I hope Docherty and Campbell can have similarly successful future paths and, if and when they do, I dare say we'll forget the times they frustrated us. Godfrey and Henderson were great for us and I follow their careers now with interest but let's not run away with the idea that they were the icing on a plain sponge cake. They were very much part of that mix and it was the right level for them to play at the time. I think it needed more than those two to transform the team.

Hopefully other big clubs will see the way we’ve treated them and brought them on, and it will be an incentive for them to loan us other young talent in coming seasons.
In one way it’s a shame that our best players are loanees rather than our own, but again it’s the way football is going these days.

We've had good players of our own though - Goldson, Woods, Nolan, Nsiala. Doesn't make much difference - you can never keep them long, whether they're "yours" or borrowed.

If only they had stayed with us we could have challenged for promotion. It's so unfair that if only is not reality
If only!!!!!!

"My oh my when will you find something to say that has any factual basis to it. Saying IF all the time does not show any great credibility does it. If this and if that might as well be f##k this and f##k that for all it's worth."
