I'll kick things off. For me, Corrie, on the Isle of Arran. Looking over Forth of Clyde, great hotel, stunning scenery beneath Goat Fell Mountain. Seals on craggy rocks. Coastal road around the Island.
In Shropshire it would have to be Bishops Castle, great boozers, friendly locals, good mix of Welsh and English. Three Tuns, be there later.

All the southerners bought up the houses as holiday homes ..... a great place but best out of season 👍

Sounds very idyllic, would like to visit soon. On Friday I go to Brecon, great village near there called Talybont, next to a beautiful canal, Monmouthshire-Brecon canal, two superb pubs with open fires and great selection of real ales. Highly recommended.

Don’t know it well but Bishops Castle seems a bit big to be a village.

Bishops castle is indeed a town, although the dragon in her silly black country accent keeps referring to it as "the veal age".
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop%27s_Castle
At Juan time it was the smallest borough in England, but was so important that in the 16th century, it had 2 MP's and became known as a "rotten borough", due to the bribery that place.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop%27s_Castle_(UK_Parliament_constituency)
Bishops Castle has a Welsh name as it was said that with a fluid border, some of the town was in Wales for a short period, and was known as Y Trefesgob, "Town of the Bishops".
Even to this day, Juan of the residents is known as " trwyn maur".

Goathland in North Yorkshire and Dunkeld in Perthshire are two of my favourite places to visit. Always have and always will have a soft spot for Anstruther in Fife...easily the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted.

It used to be a real beachy pub with burgers hot dogs et al.... very relaxed and catered more for families... it was taken over about 15 years ago by a couple who’d run the ‘Nel Gwynn’ in Shifnal who sort of spoilt it (for families) but now a busy restaurant all year ....and now run by the brewery I think.... Best time to go is when they have Tresaith Mariners regatta weekend with a Marquee (not posh) on the beach, big barbecue and live music.... think it’s August bank holiday weekend

We’re spoilt for choice in England & Wales (don’t know Ireland well enough or Scotland at all). Beddgelert in Snowdonia is magical after the day trippers leave and Borth y Gest has one of the loveliest stretches of coast. Beer in Dorset, though too many south easterners go there! Mortehoe in North Devon, just above Woolacombe, also Lee, just between there and Ilfracombe. Lacock and Castle Combe in Wiltshire are beautifully preserved and frequently used for filming period dramas. But one of my absolute favourite villages anywhere isn’t a real village at all - Portmeirion, an artistic work of brilliant imagination brought to life in a perfect setting.

I mentioned Northumberland on that earlier thread that was since removed. It has to be right up there as the most beautiful county in England with some fabulous villages. Particularly along the coast around Bamburgh.

Wrexham. I think League of Gentlemen was filmed there. Many years ago in the days of black and white tv they had a football league team and whats left of the stadium can still be seen to this day. There is a High St where there is a fine choice of charity shops. A fantastic place for a day trip if your feeling down because you will feel so much better coming back home.

Shieldaig in Wester Ross and virtually every village north of there and along the North Coast of Scotland until you get to the nuclear power station at Dounreay.
