It must have been a while since we did any business with Telford! Not seen him play but I like us doing a bit of shopping for hungry lower league players. The article mentions Trevor Challis and Stuart Whitehead in 2004, I don't think there have been any joining us since then.

From my understanding Shrewsbury are interested in signing Telford’s prolific striker Daniel Udoh Told you so 😉

So nothing since they became AFC Telford, as they both joined when Telford United were wound up. Our manager was also in that same cohort! He moved to Swansea. Wonder if we showed any interest at the time

Daniel Udoh wouldn't be a big risk, can't imagine he'd command a huge fee. Much rather sign a Daniel Udoh type than an AAH/Angol type. I'd rather a striker on the up although it's a big jump up from that level, plenty have done it though.

We were interested apparently, but he wanted to stay loyal to the manager (or the move to Swansea was already sorted 😜 )

Any Bolton keepers, defenders or forwards we can prise away now they've gone into administration this morning?
Maybe any promising youngsters?
Look likely to start next season on minus 12 points. The temperature when we went there last time on boxing day. Brrr!

David Wheater, Mark Beevers, Gary O’Neil, Craig Noone, Will Buckley, Mark Little and Clayton Donaldson

Lionel Ainsworth anyone? 😉 Released by Plymouth. 20 games for Plymouth, no goals, will be 32 in October. It's a no from me.

Lionel Ainsworth, what a waste of such a great talent. Quite sad really - ability wise he’s up there with some of the best players I’ve seen play for us at the new stadium Consistency and work rate were his big downfalls in my opinion

One of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen from a town player. Terrorised the derby full back all game. We won the game 3-2 I seem to recall. Was our promotion season under Turner.

It seems like Turner was the only manager who could ever get him playing and then only sometimes.

I was thinking more from an attacking wide man POV - he's 29 (compared to Whalley who I think is a couple of years senior) and had 11 assists in a poor Plymouth team this year (compared to Whalley's 5) 2016/17 14 goals, 16 assists 2017/18 16 goals, 13 assists 2018/19 6 goals, 11 assists You may make a valid point about declining slightly, but just seems a better level than Whalley at similar points of their careers: 2016/17 3 goals, 5 assists 2017/18 12 goals, 13 assists 2018/19 3 goals, 5 assists We need, really, to be looking for someone on the right who's in their early to mid 20's to complement Eisa on the left (if we look to play a 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1). All depends on the gaffer's plans I guess!

Graham Carey is a midfield player, his goal scoring record shouldn't be much of a concern he will be wanted for his creativity.

Cut our loses and get rid of Angol now.. bad attitude and if what I read online is true (probably not) then he was earning £2,500 a week at Mansfield and I’m sure we’d have had to gone close to that to sign him.

Much rather keep John Lewis than Angol. At least he wants to play for us and is a very genuine chap.

Coventry have made a good signing in Kyle McFadzean from Burton. It looks like he was released by Burton due to his high wages, which may have put us out of the running anyway.

Just hope that he comes and gives it a go with us, can't for the like of me think why he wouldn't want to try his luck in the highest division possible, but football is a funny old game.
