Fair play, that's some achievement.
The thing that always puzzled me most about him was not how utterly crap he was when he was with us, but actually how well he went on to do elsewhere after he left us.

I didn't think he was that bad for us. From memory Simpson tried signing loads of strikers but the issue wasn't strikers, it was lack of service

He was sh:t down here, could not hit a barn door. I saw him score at the Wakeman end and promptly celebrate in front of the town fans well not exactly sure if he did score but he led the celebrations and made himself an instant hatable character looked for a thread on here but couldn't find one town 1 colchester 2 fa cup 2005. dec 3rd saw a thread mentioning it was the day George Best was buried almost 14 years ago time goes quicker than you realise

There was one game where Simpson played both Cureton and Bradshaw upfront and the team just started hoofing it long to them. I think Cureton's lack of success here was more to do with Simpson than anybody else.
