Really looking forward to this. A free hit I reckon after the three points last Saturday. Anything today would be a bonus and considering we're a fair few games into Ricketts tenure we'll see today just how far we've come (or not) against a decent Barnsley side. Come on Town!!

some belated momentum combined with some continuity have got us 7 out of a possible 9 points.a point is important today , especially as our next opponents Oxford have gone on a winning run of 13 points out of a possible 15 and are winning at the moment 2-1 against Charlton .

Barnsley-due a home loss. Still think a 1-1 draw COYB.

So Sears in with Bolton on the bench.
No AAH or Payne. Fejiri and Smith on the bench.

Pictures just came through a moment ago; looks a nice day for it, pitch looks superb, its better than most grounds at this level is Oakwell, I gather it will be fairly full. What's not to like. Just hope our lads are up for this, rise to the occasion...

In black today then. I suspect with the change of kit supplier they feel the need to shoehorn in a couple more appearances in black. Can't have used it too many times...

Town we’re on top. Soft goal to give away - Grant lost it on the edge of the box, smart finish.

Smart finish for sure but he seemed to have acres there and under no real pressure on the edge of the box. Would have liked to have seen more effort to close him down...

Sorry about the glare, it's a bit sunny in Suffolk!
Outstanding finish.
Town playing well, Sears having an absolutely blinder.

Whalley and Campbell both had one on ones well saved and Beckles missed a decent header. Town been much the better side.
Boos from the Barnsley fans at half time sums things up perfectly.

town have had the best chances, Whalley was prevented from scoring by a good save and a goal mouth clearance, Docherty shot went close, another good save prevents a Campbell goal.
A clinical finish from Barnsley after town failed to clear there line ,just as Barnsley were pressing town and looking to get a second , a crucial goal with a clinical finish from Campbell puts town level . Whalley looked dangerous and Sears has linked up well with Docherty and Whalley. so all is set up for an interesting second half.

Well what can you say. So far so good. Going toe to toe with one of the best sides in the division in their own gaff and we're more than matching them.

Should have had a pen there for a shirt pull on Williams followed by a great save from the Barnsley keeper. COYB

Bradford are relegated.
A late equaliser for Walsall changes the gap between Town and 21st from 4 points to 5 points.

Well done Salop, outstanding and on another day would have scored 2 or 3 more goals but for a superb display from the Barnsley keeper who saved three one on ones. The best Town have played in a while and that late Walsall equaliser appears to have done us a favour. Keep things going Monday and we should be safe, if indeed we're not already.
