A second goal. A very pleasing event. Just when Gillingham were coming back into it.

Potential mid-table mediocrity. Bliss.

Even with Ricketts absurd tinkering and tactics it looks like we’re going to make it to safety

If he gets this result today it will go a long way to assuaging a lot of peoples fears. The only thing worse than making a mistake is not learning from it. Looks like Ricketts might be learning with potentially 2 massive away wins in as many weeks.

I’m of the opinion we will stay up despite him rather than because of him. These players in the right hands should never have been struggling to stay up like this.

We were 7 points clear of safety when he took over. We'll be 6 clear if we win today. Jury is still out for me.

Slight irony in Town moving towards safety today and Ipswich slipping out of the Championship. Elsewhere the Sunderland v Coventry game seems a good one!

Looks like we're stabilising as a genuine League One club. Not so long ago we were all frustrated that we couldn't even make the jump from L2 to L1 but looks like we're safe now.
Personally, I think the players have 'finally' sorted themselves out after the turmoil of the two management changes throughout the last year. Not sure how much of that is due to Ricketts, but credit where credit is due, looks like we're staying up with him at the helm. Well done to all concerned.

Where does that put us in the live form table? 13th I was asking about the form table. Zenfootball is my go-to Salopian for information.

We don't need to worry about Bradford City, they can no longer catch us.
One down, three to go.

Yet another superb performance today by Beckles. A certain former goalkeeper must be beyond devastated tonight.

An unexpected and welcome three points and a big step towards safety. It will be difficult to secure safety at Barnsley so hopefully we can do it against Oxford at the latest.

Our goal difference is only -6.
Effectively an extra point, so a draw somewhere should do.

After a lot of s**t this season, it could end with us staying up comfortably and sending Walsall down last day, what were we worrying about?

town are in 13th place in the tables and a bit closer to safety, after a dominant performance were town pressed high up the park , i always worry a bit after a good first half and no goals but town make the best possible start early in the second half and controlled this game, also pleased to see town continue to press after the second goal with Gillingham looking surprisingly rather poor. i have been critical of Beckles but he had a good game today and made a vital block late in the half.town manged to keep Eaves fairly quiet so a good defensive performance by town, Bolton went off injured so i hope it is not serious.
back to back wins for town as we hit 50 points. results go towns way as out of the bottom six teams only wimbeldon draw as the rest all lose.

That said i’m relieved that safety is looking very likely now.
