Many thought he was crazy to take over at Macclesfield, who looked like a basket case and certain for relegation.
Last nights win over Exeter took Macclesfield out of the relegation zone for the first time this season, two points clear of the drop
Well done Mr Campbell

As i alluded to on another thread, got a £10 double on them staying up (@ 7/4) and Accrington going back down (@20/1) so got a vested financial interest in them staying up also!

Well I for one will stand corrected. I thought Macclesfield were crazy to take him on, I thought he'd be a disaster for them. The very fact that they are still in with a shout at this stage is a superb effort, that they are actually outside of the relegation zone...

The fact that he could very well keep them up with all their off field problems will be a remarkable achievement.

If they stay up, I'll be very pleased for him. He was on a hiding to nothing there.

And if they do stay up, then it's virtually certain that Notts County and Yeovil will go down.
Where's Kopthis? Not been seen here since May 8th 2014.

Same, based on everything I’d seen from him I thought he’d be useless. Kudos to him.

He said they have the best ever England centre half in charge of them, and also said numerous other ridiculous things. Maybe if he let his talents do the talking his public opinion may be higher.

It now looks like two from Macclesfield, Yeovil and Notts County to be relegated. There is every chance it will go down to the final game.

It's still very tight down the bottom of League 2.
Notts 2 Grimsby 0 Port Vale 0 Macclesfield 1 Northampton 2 Yeovil 2
Yeovil will be relegated today as things stand.

Win win scenario for John Askey today I think. If Macclesfield can hang on at Vale Park they will only need one more point to relegate Notts due to a much better goal difference.

Yeovil are relegated.
Macclefield need one more point at home to Cambridge next week to relegate Notts.

Yeovil are relegated. Macclefield need one more point at home to Cambridge next week to relegate Notts. and that's assuming Notts win away at Swindon. where is Kopthis when you want him?

Wouldn't mind being at Macclesfield next Saturday - tense occasion and hopefully a big and well deserved celebration at the end.
