I see on their forum that they have resorted to writing to every Premier League club asking for 1% of player wages from that week to pay the owner off..........................and on a completely different level one of them has also written to Jeff Bezos's ex wife to ask for £1m of her billions that she has announced will be donated to charities..................I am not making this up!
For all the many fans who could see through the last few years under their dodgy ownership I still feel bitter about the ones who have spent that time giving it the big one despite knowing they were losing £2.5m a year................the whole system needs a shake and that needs to start with the EFL and also the rules of insolvency.

Hope they go under, time and time again their fans buy into this overspending and lap it up.

Your last sentence sums up all that is wrong with football in this country and how it won’t ever change until they do.

What is wrong are the rules of Company Law whereby characters like Day and Dale can fold numerous Companies owing millions of pounds to creditors and still continue to live the life of luxury. Not only that, they are allowed to set up new Companies. Occasionally, they are disqualified from doing so, but only for a period of time. For example, Hamilton and Guterman received 7 year bans, but both bans have now expired, leaving them free to do what they want. Colin Poole went bankrupt in 2016 with debts of £22 million, and that's after his previous Company Claims Direct went bust in 2002 owing millions to creditors. Nevertheless, his 12 year ban from being a Director ended in 2018. He continues to live in Netley Hall, with the 14 bedroom property conveniently owned by his wife. Mr Poole is of course an ex Director of Shrewsbury Town. www.shropshirestar.com/business/shropshire-business/2016/01/28/former-shropshire-boss-declared-bankrupt-with-debts-of-more-than-22-million/

More information and analysis from Kieran Maguire in this tweet Northwestman, click on the tweet to read all the subsequent analysis.
As you're into this sort of thing he has also done a lot of interesting analysis of Bristol Rovers following their accounts having just been released, it's worth a read.

It's well worth following his twitter feed and looking at his website, he is a mine of information on football finances. He also seems very happy to answer any questions on his twitter feed.
He's really laying into Shaun Harvey, the departing CEO of the EFL, at the moment with some pretty embarrassing stuff about what he has allowed to go on during his time in charge, for example at Bury and Bolton.

A Bury fan adds a touch of realism:-
"Unfortunately the truth hurts and we have plenty of fans who simply can’t handle the truth! We have enjoyed two recent promotions on the back of money that we never had and stuffed other Clubs promotion chances along the way. Of course, we can shut up mentioning it and sweep it under the carpet but deep down we all know the truth. If the Club was a injured animal, they’d shoot it and put it out of its misery, we’ve been limping along for a long time and it’s time we looked to the future and start again with a Phoenix Club. A Club run by the fans for the fans. The life support machine needs switching off, time to start afresh👍"

The thing is it is them yet again, if it was another club you would have sympathy but it is hard to for serial offenders. They haven't had the nickname Bucket Shakers for many years for nothing.

Looking likely they will be saved from oblivion once more..................the main creditor appears to be willing to apply for administration on the clubs behalf which will remove the owners apparent end game of liquidation. Local authority and CEO of JD Sports (fan) offering legal/technical support to the fans group to push it through before the owner gets chance to get his way.
The one comment that caught my eye though was that it seems that said main creditor who lent the millions against the ground to the previous owner (Stewart Day - whose holding companies have just gone bust owing £23m), has given a fresh loan to him now he has started up under a new guise. WHY? - if someone you had lent £4million to jibbed on the debt and went bankrupt why would you lend them money as soon as they restarted under a different name?
Next few days going to be rather interesting...............

Why lend money again you say? The phrase more money than sense springs to mind.

Another Bury fan provides a dose of reality!
"2 promotions is hardly a shambles on the pitch but the off the field bulls**t was annoying and detracted from the success as it didn't seem sustainable".
"...and there you have it in a nutshell, not one shred of humility or feeling of guilt. Two promotions have been achieved because we haven’t been paying our bills, while racking up probably the thick end of over 10 Million quid in debt. We’ve all seen the players that have come through the door over the last few years, we haven’t been paying them peanuts you know. Players who caused a great deal of bewilderment amongst our fellow competitors, who rightly asked the question...how are they able to afford this on gates of 3,500?
In the full scheme of things the promotions are tarnished, we might has well throw the medals in the bin because we cheated in all honesty. Had we serviced our debts and paid our way we wouldn’t have been able to afford to pay the wages of the current squad (we can’t anyway), never mind the previous one. Let’s not pretend that all our current squad were on low wages also last season because I think we all know that’s not correct, there were quite a few on pretty good wages by L2 standards. We couldn’t afford to pay them in the end but they still get us promoted...if anybody thinks that is fair to the opposition then they are as deluded as Stuart Day".

This Saga is a Netflix film waiting to happen. Starring role for Northwestman maybe. A fair % of Bury fans reckon it's either administration or liquidation this week. The judge will only take so many excuses as to why a further extension should be granted.

Oh, and we certainly don't want to have Bury as our opening away fixture.
Their pitch is many weeks behind as far as preparation is concerned it would seem.
