What a way to talk to your supporters:- "I do not look at social media, but I’m advised there have been countless ill-truths, accusations, and alleged leaks from staff as the basis of these. As most of these are from the same disturbed few, I give them no credibility as I would advise you not to. Genuine fans do not drill holes in their own boat, based not on facts, but speculation". Would agree totally. If we on B&A had been reading that from RW or BC I’m sure there would have been pages and pages of posts, most of it quite uncomplimentary. And to think that STFC are “rotten to the core” I do wonder what those fans would think if we were Bury supporters? Hmm.

Having examined Mr Dale's latest statement, this Bury fan seems to have spotted the possibilities which might open up for Mr Dale at Carrington:-
"Asset Stripping: Gigg Lane is mentioned, but as many people have said it wouldnt be too difficult to 'suss' out any charge/mortgage, likewise with the Social Club. What is not mentioned is Carrington. Now if memory serves me right Dale said he was going to have a word with MCFC about arranging a 99 yr lease (hotel etc). Now a 99 year lease as opposed to a 5yr Lease(?) is a far more vaulable attraction, especially as Trafford MBC have now allowed major planning permissions for housing developments close by (very close by) but I'm sure Dale wouldnt/couldnt have thought of the possibility of safeguarding this asset in Bury Heritage/Leisure".

It's been reported on the Bury Fans Forum that the Club has been sold to a consortium consisting of John Whittaker (billionaire), Ron Wood (multi millionaire) and Umar Kamani (multi millionaire).
Whittaker and Wood were born in Bury, Kamani in Manchester.

But the poster who put those details up is normally pretty reliable. Sounds a little too good to be true though I admit.

Well, we'll know the truth fairly soon. Bury are appearing before the High Court on May 15th.
Unless they have new owners lined up before then, their prospects don't look good.

**** Bury. No sympathy with anyone connected, they lap it up when they're paying Championship wages! They've had chance after chance and keep buying into over-spending time and time again. Hopefully they go bust and start in the 7th tier.

Odds on the owners claim a new owner is on the way and they just need a little more time for due diligence.......another stay of execution is waved through 😡😡😡

It’s all a bit of a joke now.
No one is being paid there whilst this charade festers on, all the gate receipts from the last few games appear to have been quietly trousered. Lowe looks Plymouth bound, players will be free to move on due to contract breach, and still many millions of debt remain. What a mess and the EFL continues to allow clubs to build debt piles with dodgy owners up to all sorts. There needs to be a fit for purpose spending cap, proper checks on owners (rumours that this latest clown at Bury has failed the test), and swift action to set an example when clubs break the rules.
I almost feel sorry for the bucket shakers, but there still seem to be those who think their promotion is not tainted by this, clubs below them who have played by the rules have my sympathy......

I wonder if HMRC would be so lenient with me if I owed them thousands?
Doubt it somehow.

Doesn't seem to take too much to get an adjournment. Amazingly, the Court seems to have accepted this with no further information required:- "The court heard of three prospective buyers, but no deal has been completed. Mr Dale said he has 'received some expressions of interest' and issued an open invite for offers. None of the three parties were named at the Insolvency and Companies Court hearing in central London. But judge Sebastian Prentis was told by lawyers representing the Shakers that the club 'could soon be sold' and the debts paid off. Bury's legal team said 'prospective buyers' were interested". www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/bury-fc-court-hearing-adjourned-16279784

Shouldn’t this need for food banks being set up be a wake up call for the footballing authorities to start really looking at finances of clubs in all divisions?
It really is disgusting that food banks are necessary because of mis management. The red lights should have been flashing months ago. I’m sorry but I don’t think this is good enough at all.

Dale bought the Club from their last owner Day for £1.
He seems to have capitalised the existing debts of the Club, most of which were owed to Day's Companies, which have now gone into administration.
Neither players nor employees have been paid, and a food bank is being set up. The Club is due before the High Court again on 19th June.
Rumour has it he's looking to sell for well over £1 million.

Who's going to take that level of debt on though with likely no squad or manager?
I'm fully expecting this new 'owner' to be either another 'associate' who will keep on bleeding what they can out of the carcass, or not exist at all with Mr Dale just using the time to pick over the remaining bones himself.
It's pretty clear that all staff within the club have outed the guy as a complete crook. Talk on their MB of staff having season ticket sale funds put into a separate account, most seem to be buying them with credit cards as insurance anyway. £250 a ticket......no wonder they are in debt.
For me the fans need to be preparing for starting again, it gives them chance to rebuild on a better fan-run platform and also gives the right message that rotten clubs with dodgy owners and/or unsustainable business models will not be allowed to continue.
It would be pretty hard to take if they start giving it the big one in League One next season thats for sure...............

Good for him - get out while you can Ryan. There is no doubt that being an employee of Bury FC is not the place to be at the moment.

If it's coming to this, the need for food banks, then the footballing authorities should hang their heads in shame. Allowing the situation to continue is a clear failure by all parties concerned.
