Ratcliffe, Simpson, Bond.
Can’t believe Peters is being touted as one of the worst. He kept a dreadful team in the league, when we were flying back to the conference with Quinn in charge and then built a decent side to make the play offs on a small budget.

Completely agree, I credit him for transforming this club. After we were relegated to L1 in the late 90's, we were a club who were happy to survive and that was really the limit of our ambition and that was even after getting back into the league, Peters came in and changed the mindset.
Yes it went sour in the end but the new shiny ground was a factor in that, he saw us as unfashionable club in a quirky & crumbling ground and thought we could become another Wimbledon. Moving away from Gay Meadow changed the outlook of the club and it didn't suit him

Would argue he was one of the most important managers of the modern era. Not always likeable but turned us around after years of decline. Was screwed by moving ground so had to change his style of play and was clearly found lacking. Still, he got a team into the play offs on a small budget...Simpson got us to mid table on a huge budget and then fluked it when other teams got deducted points.

Agree with your assessment of Peters' vital impact on the club. But he never made any secret of his disdain for Gay Meadow and how he couldn't wait to leave. Ironic that it worked against him in the end.

Johnnie Spuhler. 13 games, 7 points. Between Harry Potts and Arthur Rowley. Suppler was terrible, almost made me desert to Wolves. Luckily Arthur Rowley saved the day.
