I have very little sympathy for him. He is a high profile sportsman so should be setting an example for the youngsters. It's a pity really because when I first saw him play when he was 18 or 19 I thought he was very good, and with the right mentor was going to be the answer to our opening batting for years to come. How Stokes got away so lightly with what he did still makes my mind boggle. These so called 'stars' (in all sports, not just cricket) have the world at their feet, and somehow a lot of them seem to be exceedingly immature and go and make a right b******s of things. Some of them just don't learn from their mistakes.

I don’t know how he got off either. He’s not even that good. Though averaging 30 for England is considered world class nowadays.

Great win for Worcs v Notts today. Hales wasn't playing and Clarke was out cheaply.

One to look out for, Saqib Mahmood of Lancashire. He's certainly having a good Royal London tournament at the moment.

Key game today as far as Worcs are concerned.
Notts v Durham.
Someone has to lose some points!

England can’t play when it nips around even a bit.

Rumour has it 'allegedly' (from my local source at Worcester) that Kohler-Cadmore and Clarke will not be considered for any England selections in the near future, and may also be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

Nice to see young Rhodes have a good knock at last. Hopefully it will give him some confidence that he has been lacking previously. Worcestershire have stuck with him so obviously can see something there !!

A great effort from John Campbell and Shai Hope for the Windies against Ireland today. A world record ODI opening stand of 365.
England v Pakistan T20 in Cardiff has been a good game so far with England recovering well after Pakistan got off to a fast start. Jofra Archer impressive today, consistently over 90mph with a couple of wickets and a good run out off his own bowling.

Derby v Worcs is on Sky today. Was good - the 20 metre boundary and the ball that doesn’t ever move anymore made it discount baseball!

Some utter dross on show for Middlesex earlier. Roland Jones struggling to get it passed 80mph, Helm who someone said on here was rapid bowling at 82mph - it wasn’t a good pitch and they made Jennings look like Lara! Shame for Worcs - wonder why Rhodes wasn’t playing instead of D’oliviera who has been awful so far. Still - far too reliant on Cox and Whitely to bail them out.

Decent weather (for a change) for the 2 ODIs taking place today.
Ireland have set the Windies a challenging total over in Dublin.
Meanwhile England are closing in on 300....

On his day, there's no one to match him.

Went to the game yesterday and most supporters are asking why 'Dolly' is in the one day team as his form so far this season has been awful. Maybe it's because he is the 'appointed' Captain !!!!

Most supporters on the WCCC website are asking the same question. Even worse is he's contracted until 2022. He's now 27 and has been going backwards for the last couple of years. George Rhodes has to consider himself unlucky to make a century and be dropped after one further game. The family name seems to be what's saving him. The other question I've been asking is that with Moeen with England, Twohig out for the season with injury and D'Oliveira thoroughly deserving to be dropped, why are we not in the market for a spinner? We desperately need one. Apparently Dom Bess had been told by Somerset some time ago that he could go out on loan, but it took a chance phone call from Yorkshire for him to agree to go there. Why did we miss the opportunity to get him?

Some pundits see Jofra Archer's omission today as a fairly clear sign that he will be in the World Cup squad.

Myself and the guys sitting by me were discussing pretty much all of your remarks, especially that we are in need of a good spinner so why didn't we get Bess ? Plus he can bat too.

Could Worcestershire have afforded his wages? I imagine Somerset's wage budget will be considerably higher and he is an England player.

Not good to see Jimmy Anderson limping off this afternoon, fortunately there is plenty of time before the Ashes though.

He looks a good prospect that lad. There are a few good young quick bowlers around at the moment, it will be interesting to see if they can stay fit as that often seems to be the problem with such young players.
