Shrewsbury is a very nice place, shame the people within it, are not. When will football followers leave the idiots at home, and come to a match peaceful, and have no hassle. Ive been their, im a ex steward...and now back up into the terrace. Can we not have a match where their is no fighting around the city, pubs, and the ground. How about we all got together for a drink to discuss the highlights of the game. I think some people have been watching 'football factory' too much.

He reclined?? I guess you mean like your allegedly "injured" player who was sleeping by our dugout and Gary Peters stupidly protested pitchside? Does Gary Peters have such little knowledge of football that he didn't realise that the player was off the pitch being treated and therefore, the referee should rightfully continue the game? And as for the behaviour of Ryan Lowe? I would say its comparable to the mentality of Michael Branch's gestures, except Lowe caused a lot more trouble, physically abused our players, and then laughed all smugly afterwards. Steady on KID, Challis was out cold concussed, and bleeding from his eye with a head injury, less than half a foot from the touchline of play anyone could have crashed into him, we tried to alert the attention of the ref to make a sub for a good 5 mins

Bit of a generalisation there I think. I have seen the sum element from Chester before now but that doesn't make everyone from Chester the same does it?

Just because you have a zoo doesn't make you a city! I'd like to meet the Chester fans. Are they made by Carlsberg? Because by the sound of it tehy are the best fans in the world

I see your point, can't imagine how upset I'd be if someone made a W gesture to me. What did my 14 year old friend say when she went to her one and only footie match. 'It's Ok but the supporters are childish and immature'. I had no reply

Just because you have a zoo doesn't make you a city! Oh bugger and I always thought that was why Chester was a city! The cathedral and the fact that it is steeped in history obviously has nothing to do with it. You complete and utter tool. Also like your argument about Lowe being justified in assaulting our players because we 'deserved it'. I'd like to see that one used in court. 'I find the defendant not guilty as the victim deserved it'! Maybe Tolley could give it a try!!

Maybe you could apply the same standards to some of your stewards???
Cant stand at the back of the stand, Cant rest meet on the chair in front, cant rest feet on the steel pole going down the side of part of the chair.
Get told next time I raise my foot I shall be ejected from the ground and then arrested!!!
Needless to say the 2/3 stewards ignored everyone else resting their feet on the empty chairs infront, and spent the whole of the first half staring intently at me.
The words "sad, lonely, fat, pricks" spring to mind.

What are you on about? What was it Lowe did? Physically abused your players? Allegedly injured? You must need glasses if you think that was allegedly injured you fool. The reason Peters was protesting was to get the stretcher and medics across the pitch, rather than walk around. You are the one with little knowledge of football by the looks of things. Now run along back to your tin-pot club in your tin-pot stadium. Whatever.

......inciting the Shrews fans, he took the trouble to walk away from in front of Howie around the post and make several gestures while there was a stopage, and the stewards wonder why there was almost a small pitch invasion. Cant see the problem. Does anyone remember Fingerbobs? This is how the old guy with the beard used to make a seagul puppet. Where the two thumbs meet is the neck and head, and the rest of the hands are wings. Think its rather nice of this chap to be trying to entertain the crowd in such a time honoured way

Isn't the whole point that players are not supposed to respond to the fans - I think it comes under the heading of self discipline and get on with the job you are paid to do. Also bringing the game into disrupute. As he is also an ex-Everton player I feel quite ashamed - however, he has enable me to improve my education I have absolutely no idea what this has to do with anyone from Hereford and why I have to be so abused. I always enjoy my trips to Edgar Street - just down the A49 - like Hereford - my husband used to live there. It's a pity that fans like this have to spoil everying.

That W sign is the 'Winner' sign off the Lucozade ads innit? It's not an offensive gesture anyway - looks hilarious to me. Why shouldn't players give the banter back. Get over it, it's not like he threatened to hit you after the game.

What a load of fuss over nothing. He got a load of stick, he made a gesture (and not a particularly offensive one) back. I have seen both Jemmo and Cramb tell sections of the STFC fans to **** off before now and I don't recal there being such an uproar over it. I also remember the stick Jemmo gave Oxford fans during the 01/02 season and the general consensus on the old rivals board was it was amusing.

Get over it, it's not like he threatened to hit you after the game. What you probably failed to see was the gestures he was handing out before the one captured on the picture, that were a little ruder and as for >>> Why shouldn't players give the banter back<<< because there meant to be proffesionals that shouldn't incite a crowd with rude gestures

Name a not-too-far-away team that you lot supposedly hate, beginning with W. Now think who may have played for that team in the past Now this is just my estimation, but I reckon Branchie would have come under some stick from you lot for his W...... connections, and decided to, as Jon said, give the banter back. Hardly a despicable criminal act is it?

I'd have no doubt gone nuts if I'd have seen him do it.
However, you need a bit of character in the game. It's what makes it what it is.
