www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/47313927If the ref saw this incident, he has to book the Rangers player for simulation. To give the keeper a red card he can only have seen a player pretending to be hurt, rather than the incident itself, and guessed that something must have happened. Two questions come to mind: - What's the point of the assistant referee? - Where do these clown referees keep coming from, is there a college or something?

That's an absolute joke, that is. From the angle the assistant referee would have needed to see that through Kamara, Bachmann and Alan Power (who after Kamara's ridiculous initial reaction, appears to push him down for some reason). Ridiculous decision that destroyed Killie's hopes of getting anything from what was already a difficult game. On the other hand, good to see ex-loanee Tavernier and particularly Connor Goldson continuing to do well

How did he think the keeper could have floored the Rangers player? Astonishing levels of incompetence.

The role of assistant referees is a mystery. They used to be called linesman. Why change the name if they aren't going to do anymore than they did before. They seem to do nomore than apply the offside rule and signal when the ball goes out of play.

does the keeper not make contact with the elbow into the players face ?
soft yes, but striking an opponent in the face is a red card offence no matter how sly or soft it was

Snowflake generation players simulating injuries, plus constant passing backwards is ruining the game. Watched Chelsea tonight & was bored to tears.

Snowflake generation players simulating injuries, plus constant passing backwards is ruining the game. Watched Chelsea tonight & was bored to tears. bit like Liverpool in the early 80s before the backless rule came in clemence rolls it out , its passed along the back 4 and back to clemence zzzzzzz in fairness to Chelsea, they are 5-1 up in a cup tie and have a cup final this weekend why do anything other than pass it round ? the only thing thats changed was back in the 80s and earlier, if you wanted to hit someone in the face you'd give them a right hook and be proud of your red card whilst they put their nose back in place today, if you are going to be sly and give them a little flick on the nose, expect them to be even slyer and roll around the floor and laugh at you when the ref buys it ps explain 'snowflake' ?
