Strange how his loan was terminated with us before it had even properly begun... obviously something was not right at the time for that to happen.

But clearly nothing wrong with his footballing skills. It must have been seriously bad for PH to send him back before the end of August... I'm guessing it must have improved as he's done okay since.

Only saw him play once and that was away at Brackley. We were awful but he played well attacking wise.
However, Hurst came out afterwards having a go at him for his attitude in defence. Seemed odd at the time but I wasnt surprised to see his loan terminated if he didnt have the defensive desire Hurst wanted.
His dad was in attendance and I spoke to him. His dad said Dan was really looking forward to getting some game time as he had been let down by Swansea. The season before with nothing to play for the youth at Swansea had been told they would get more game time to gain experience. As this didnt happen he wasnt happy.
So maybe after coming to Shrews and struggling for game time his attitude was like, why am i here in L1 not playing when I could be back home and not playing.
Anyway good luck to him as I believe he is from Yorkshire so a nice return home.

Mad fee for a guy who had never played a minute of league football until this season.

Breaking: SSN - Deal is off. James was in Leeds, everything agreed but Swansea then refused to sign-off on it.

Bad luck or bad news seems to follow him around.

Just watched him play an absolute blinder for Wales vs Slovakia in a Euro 2020 qualifier. Shame it didn’t work out for him here last season. May have been the missing piece to take us up! Why was the loan terminated do we know? Fair play, Hurst had an eye for a good player.

Tyler Roberts also involved. Good to see the future stars of Welsh football doing well.

Maybe our terminating the loan was the wake up he needed. Perhaps he has got his head down now & it appears to be working for him.

But not for us I'd have thought. Seems too inconsistent.
