WICKET! Joe Root will be annoyed at that, looping a Shannon Gabriel full toss to mid-wicket. An excellent innings nonetheless. He goes for 122, England are 361-5.
And there is the declaration. Ben Stokes finishes unbeaten on 48. England 361-5 (d) - West Indies require 485 runs to win.

WICKET! England strike third ball! Jimmy Anderson finds the edge of John Campbell and Moeen Ali takes a great diving catch in the gully. Campbell departs for a golden duck. West Indies 5-1.
WICKET! Jimmy Anderson has his second. Kraigg Brathwaite nicks off and, after a little juggle, Ben Stokes takes the catch at second slip. Brathwaite goes for 8, West Indies 10-2.

WICKET! It's that man again... Jimmy Anderson finds Darren Bravo's outside edge and Joe Root takes a smart catch at first slip. Bravo goes for a duck, West Indies 10-3.

99 dropped catches off Broad now.
Hope was dropped by Buttler.
Buttler only has one hundred in 30 Test matches, which isn't too impressive from someone played purely as a batsman. He's dropped a few catches in the slips too, the India Tests last year being a good example.

Buttler only has five first class hundreds in total. However, he is averaging 42 since the start of last summer so currently deserves a run in the side. Whether he is good enough to bat at five is questionable as his technical deficiencies are particularly obvious against real pace.
He shouldn't be fielding in the slips as he is no better than a 50/50 man in there which isn't good enough at this level.

Good to see Joe Root back in the runs but we need to see much more of this from our only decent batsman. So many unanswered questions before the Ashes series. Who will replace Jennings as opener? Should Root bat at three? Can Mark Wood stay fit? Who should keep wicket? Much to ponder for the selectors. Indeed, but there is a lot of cricket to be played before the first Ashes test and time for people to throw their hats into the ring, whether new faces or people who have been tried before. Burns is the only one in the top three who I think will be pencilled in for the first Ashes test at this stage, I don't think Denly's cameo will have done enough for him to be considered in the same bracket he'll need to go back to Kent and continue to score well. This isn't just a problem for England though. Teams are generally struggling around the world for consistent opening batsman in test cricket. To be fair to Root he got at least two unplayable deliveries during the first two tests and only got out to a poor shot once, when caught at first slip off the spinner in Antigua. He's worked hard between the second and third tests and his hard work paid dividends here with a fine knock. Hopefully he's turned a corner now.

An excellent piece of fielding from Denly and good wicket keeping from Bairstow to run out Hetmyer, hopefully England can finish this before the close of play today.

WICKET! Shai Hope goes for 14. He miscues Mark Wood to Stuart Broad in the covers, who takes a nice catch. West Indies 31-4, trailing by 453.
WICKET! Some hesitant running sees the end of Shimron Hetmyer. Joe Denly with a good throw in from the deep and top work from Jonny Bairstow sees Hetmyer run out for 19. West Indies 76-5.
WICKET! Moeen Ali takes the wicket of Shane Dowrich. A nice bit of flight and Dowrich edges to Ben Stokes at slip. He departs for 19. West Indies 110-6.
TEA: 101 runs scored in that session. West Indies 136-6. Roston Chase has 53, alongside Kemar Roach on 14.

Chances for England early on in the evening session! Moeen Ali should have had Kemar Roach, a bad drop from Rory Burns at mid-off. And some brutal balls from Mark Wood has him in trouble a few times in the following over. West Indies 149-6.

WICKET! This time, Moeen Ali gets his man. Kemar Roach drives in the air, straight down the throat of Mark Wood at extra cover. Roach departs for 29, West Indies 156-7.
WICKET! Alzarri Joseph's six-hitting cameo comes to an end. He tried to go big one too many times and Moeen Ali picks up his wicket. Jimmy Anderson with the catch, Joseph goes for 34. West Indies 212-8.
Just one to go (probably) - Keemo Paul possibly padded up in the dugout, radio not sure

WICKET! Ben Stokes is introduced and does the job straight away. Shannon Gabriel looks to be expansive but can only feather an edge to Jonny Bairstow for 3. Keemo Paul will come in, with Roston Chase at the other end on 98. 236-9.
Keemo Paul comes out to bad - walking very very slowly!

Slightly off topic but that was a dramatic one wicket win for Sri Lanka out in Durban. Not many would have expected that result.

ODI cricket stinks with games like this - sadly it’s become a norm. Scores of 200-250 in games where the ball actually moves is way better.
England the ultimate flat track bullies - their bowling is a worry though. How is Mark Wood still there??? I thought Curran and Willey were the best England bowlers of late.
