Once again, we fail to clear our lines and pay the price. The lack of pace in our central defence is also being cruelly exposed.

We are chaotic at the moment. We are slow and ponderous at the back, lack any real firepower at the front yet we have a glut of midfielders. Ricketts needs to sort it out and fast as the relegation battle looms large. We need some players that have some stomach for a fight. It's one thing that Hurst did very well when he first came in - he worked with what he had and did very well with it. I'm not seeing the same knack from Ricketts. But let's see what happens in January.

Typical, as soon as people start mentioning unbeaten run, or one defeat in 18, and fortress etc, they put in a display like this!!

Not a lot left to say about how this season is going but certainly survival in League 1 is beginning to look like the best we can hope for.

I dread to think what the score would have been without Arnold.

Waterfall really needs to be dropped for Beckles or a new signing. He has been found wanting far too many times.

Guess we are still experiencing the hangover from last season. Really no surprise how things are. Paul Hurst built a near successful Town side and then set the seeds to destroy it.

what a difference from the last meeting at the meadow, bloody awful They've kept most of their squad intact and added one the best all round strikers in the league. Our squad and staff decimated and now we are scrambling around trying to cobble together 52 points. Going to be a tight finish. If ever a result puts the Wembley result into perspective its this one.

My god that was bad, takes me back to the L1 days under GT & Mellon. A disjointed team with a clear lack of quality
Today has ended the myth we are a good side that Askey failed to get the best out of. A poor team that will be in a relegation battle

Couldn’t make it today, stuck in bed with a heavy cold, cough and splitting headache . Although I feel s**te I feel even worse reading comments on this board. Looks like we are only heading one way . As a matter of interest I see that Hurst had gained more points for Ipswich over the same number of games than Lambert. Strange that. Oh well , on we go . We could be playing Wrexham after all come next season.

And Edwards injured on his return just to complete a bloody miserable afternoon. Ricketts really needs to earn his corn now during the transfer window because this side has some glaring weaknesses. Too slow at the back and looking increasingly powder puff up front.

Okay, we need a centre back with a bit of pace, someone to replace the injured Dave Edwards, a new left back and a 20 a season striker and another keeper? In other words, we more or less want what every other league one club wants. The only quick centre back we could get would be a young, raw recruit, the 20 goal a season striker will be a Grant Holt / Nigel Jemson type hoping to get back up the leagues again, or a non league striker who, if successful, will be sold for a pittance to a championship club. The joy of supporting a lower division team!

How on earth are we going ditch Waterfall, AAH and Gillead all on 2/3 yr contracts?
There are glaring weaknesses which have been with us since the start of season: (a) we're nowhere near as fit as we were last season (b) we're toothless but more than that we lack creativity (b) the full back positions are problematic (d) The Waterfall problem (e) the squad looks completely unbalanced so that we end up playing a diamond formation to squeeze in all the midfielders.

Sad to note that this is one of the worst actual results in a home league game of the last several years, never mind the performance.
Squad is somehow both bloated and too thin at the same time.

So many individual mistakes throughout the whole team from start to finish. Even Grant was off colour today. Even Edwards was in on the act during his brief cameo. Just so many "what the..." moments it was crazy...
