Leutweiler was a great shotstopper for us but was a spectator for crosses and corners. I guess we were spoiled by having Deano but I had a quiet admiration for Craig MacGillivray who always did well for us when called upon and was not treated well by Hurst. McGillivarry was brilliant when Deano was suspended but he lost his place immediately upon his return. He was given games in the Checkatrade until the latter stages when he was again dropped. No wonder he b.....red off to Portsmouth and has played every game. Coleman was disappointing as too often he got to the ball but wasn't strong enough to keep the it out. I actually like Arnold who is strong and commands his box. He's made a lot of very good saves for us including penalties. His save against Stoke low to his right way superb and whoever said on here that he's seen trees go down quicker should visit Specsavers or stop trying to be funny. I'm not aware of any Arnold mistakes and he looks confident and reliable. I'd be happy to see Burgoyne come in as backup. agree apart from when you say macgilivaray was treated badly by hurst . At the time we had a better keeper in goal. Until the Blackburn and Doncaster games in January 2018 I'd agree with you 100%. Henderson was absolutely outstanding. But after those games some mistakes began to creep into his game and he wasn't as confident in coming for crosses as had been the case before. To refresh everyone's memories, the Blackburn game was when Henderson was subsequently banned for 3 games after throwing objects into the crowd, and the Doncaster game was where he carried the ball over the line when coming for a cross. MacGillivray performed well on the occasions on which he was called upon, and I believe had an outstanding game at Portsmouth after he was required to deputise for Henderson. But after his 3 match ban had been served, Henderson was immediately restored to the side.

I wouldn't even say he was a great shot stopper, punched, flapped and parried far to many for my liking.

Yes, but in between the flapping, parrying, punching and spectating, he we a good shot-stopper. Well Blackburn thought so at the time.

Bizarrely? Their first choice keeper was unavailable so Coleman came in as the substitute keeper.
