Is this game available on ifollow tonight? I have a feeling it is and was just seeing if anyone knew?
I’d like to see Edwards get some minutes tonight as I don’t think he’ll be thrown into the first team for a couple weeks as he builds his fitness up

Hopefully Anthony Grant won't either. Judging by his interviews in the last day or so he's not too popular around Burslem.

Hopefully Anthony Grant won't either. Judging by his interviews in the last day or so he's not too popular around Burslem. Even if we do play a stronger team than previous checkatrade games. I don’t think we need to risk grant and give him a rest. We have more than enough midfielders

Whats Grants said about Burslem? There’s a story on the Shropshire star. Basically grant says he did really well at vale and left when chance to progress cams about and I think vale weren’t happy and he’s had bad receptions since Bit of a nothingn story

Just seen the side Ricketts is putting out. It doesn't exactly scream "Wembley here we come."
Coleman, Emmanuel, Kennedy, Beckles, Angol, Loft, Eisa, Sears, Rowland, Barnett and Shelis.

What counts as a first team regular within the rules of this competition? Because for half a season Coleman and Beckles were.

staffordshrew, see my post in the checkatrade thread where I pasted the rules. Basically a player out on loan at a non-league club can play with the agreement of both clubs. Otherwise four regulars have to be included in the starting outfield 10.

Ricketts said we was going to Sunderland to win. We set up defensive and time wasted from the get go.
He know said he is taking this comp seriously and then plays that team.
Strange...

Otherwise four regulars have to be included in the starting outfield 10. Yes, I did see the rules you posted, but how "regular" is regular? Coleman and Beckles would count for me for their starts this season even though they are out of favour now. Coleman doesn't count and we presumably have Telford's permission for the loanee to play. Now here's a hypothetical question: If we get through and if we take Walker on and loan him back to Wrexham because he can't play in the league, could he, Wrexham permitting, play in this competition?

Looking at that vale side, think we’ll be hard pushed to get the win. Shame really, think we could do with a win.

7.4.1 had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture (as defined below);
7.4.2 subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;
7.4.3 is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;
7.4.4 has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season); or
7.4.5 is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.Beckles is covered by 7.4.1 7.4.2 is a bit of a unknown. Coleman, and possibly Angol, are covered by 7.4.3 After that I don't know, maybe we're heading for a fine?

Thank you,that's pretty clear and concise, I suppose Angol doesn't sneak in under any of these rules? Clubs take all sorts of liberties all the time, but it will probably be us that get fined. Does 7.4.2 subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture; mean that should you realise you are in the wrong you could in theory get yourself out of it? Thanks I hadn't interpreted like that, that rule would cover any player with some modest first team experience I guess.

The commentators seem well impressed by young Rowland on his debut and also that Eisa won't be doing his chances any harm.
