Great save from Arnold and a great ball from Doc. The only real bits of quality from us.
Mind you, Grant was consistent quality all game.

What on earth is the matter with Angol? Holloway may as well have stayed on. Angol looked completely disinterested, wasn't prepared to run to close down players even though he was fresh on the pitch, and failed to concentrate on staying onside. i agree the off sides were totally avoidable ,it was frustrating because he was off side by a country mile .i have no idea what is going on with him but he needs to buck his ideas up . Imo he should be shipped out. He's been like this from the start. Club need to spend some money and get a decent striker in. Our defence is improving but performance has dropped in attack.

God. It's painful to watch. Edwards aside who the he'll would want to join us. If we continue with this "over my dead body" attitude we'll be in trouble by mid March

I wish Gilliead would run at his man a bit more, and also not come into the middle all the time where it’s congested. One run in 2nd half nearly created a good chance. Desperately need width in the team.

jesus we just more than matched a team who ‘s average wage is perhaps 20 grand a week & some of you still not happy if AAH scores the sitter we see the game out comfortably, thought waterfall & sadler dealt with there front two admirably proves it’s not always about pace if you can read the game like these two, apart from one save in first half arnold not troubled , think when ricketts gets his own squad we will see alot of 1-0 wins , not many complained when the traitor used the same tactics.

At least Fey will be available for the replay! Norburn won't be though. 2nd booking today after having picked up an earlier yellow card when we were away at Salford. Hopefully Okenabirhie and Whalley will be available for the replay. It would be nice to think that Morris would be in line to replace Norburn, at least in the 18 for the replay, but given his complete absence today I'm not sure he will which will be a waste of a good player in my opinion. Today certainly leaves the feeling that a big opportunity has been missed.

How does Waterfall end up at right back for the equaliser? Defence a bit of a mess, and Sadler or Waterfall isolated is never good. So slow

Away from the FA Cup we could certainly do without Rochdale and Sc***horpe, who have both strengthened this week, getting results from their home games tomorrow. A big win for Sc***horpe today sees them jump up to 17th level on points with Town. Five new players in at Sc***horpe this week, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain any sort of improvement off the back of that. Burton did us a favour at Rochdale though.

Just back, thought that was an entertaining afternoon.
We spent the majority of first half in Stokes half but without any real cutting edge. Second half stoke came out after a bollocking I assume and played with more purpose.
Mr Holloway’s miss typified why he was scored so few goals in his career, plant that in the net and at 2-0 it’s game over.
Haynes is getting better every week, Grant surely must be up for an Oscar for gaining so many free kicks every week.
Looking forward to the replay but suspect Stoke might have a new manager by then

A new manager won’t feel the need to pick his strongest team to save his job, as Rowett probably did.

guys, we played a championship side who were pre season favourites to win the league having been in the Prem for 10 years
not only that it was a derby match and we led for a long time and would have won but for a goal from one of Englands most prolific ever goal scorers
and we moan about a header that didn't go it
well I saw stoke miss a sitter first half, bloke unmarked at back post managed to miss the target and several shots missing from close to well off target
stoke got better as the game went on
what would have been unfair would have been for us to lose
draw, was a fair result I say

Fair play we worked hard (although without much real quality -e.g. Laurent) and kept our shape mostly but Stoke were there for the taking so feeling slightly disappointed. Not sure that match told us anything we didn't already know about our team (1) We've little creativity or cutting edge (2) don't let Waterfall get isolated (3) Gilliad's a total lightweight (4) Grant is fecking excellent - let's hope he doesn't get injured

Not fair. I accept that generally speaking Holloway can't hit a cow's backside with a banjo as far as scoring is concerned, but his work rate is good, he wins his fair share of headers, and his link up play is not too bad.

Actually like what I’ve seen of him but today I felt he didn’t look bothered! Holloway is equally as terrible as Angol for being caught offside too. Unbelievably bad how our strikers either don't know what the offside rule is or can't tell where they are on the pitch

We are what we are, a mid- table side with an outside chance of a top seven finish. If only that were true. Sadly we're three points off the bottom four and in a relegation battle until such time that things improve.

Sadly we're three points off the bottom four and in a relegation battle until such time that things improve. Means top six surely? Seventh might as well be 17th. Academic point though. There’s no chance of us making the top six or seven.

I thought we more than matched stoke . Against these better (on paper ) teams , when you get set pieces in and around the box you have to cause them problems . One straight over the bar , couple of other free kicks , one which was rolled awfully to Norburn who was pretty much closed down before shooting , and another which didn’t even make the box . All of our corners never really caused problems either. Another concern is the lack of width , we literally don’t have anyone out wide , no overlapping or anything , it’s all through the middle . At times our formation looked like a 4-2-1-1-1-1 !! I know stoke have millions worth but they were very poor today and you feel like we’ve missed our best chance to beat them now . Hopefully by the time of the reply we may have one or 2 new signings. Desperately need a striker and some wingers. I wish Eisa could have a run in the side . Gilliead for me needs to get in the gym , gets blown off the ball far too easily . Grant is a quality player at this level , our best player by a country mile .

Christ on a bike, cannot be.ieve some of the comments. Stoke are a poor Championship side, they have the players but their attitude is poor. When they decided to “ play” their power and pace was evident. Overall we played very well, closed them down, played good football and should have scored a second through Holloway. I thought we played well 1- 11. Norburn was superb first half, but faded second half, Holloway was excellent, held the ball up well and won most of his headers. I have given Waterfall a lot of stick over the past few weeks, but fair play he did very well again today. I fail to see just what the support of this team want. If we don’t win easily, then it seems that most think we have played poorly. We were Stoke’s equal throughout the match, and better for most of it. We are what we are, a mid- table side with an outside chance of a top seven finish. I have witnessed far more turgid displays over past seasons, this was a good game. Most on here talk absolute bollox. 100% agreed!!
