so, that's 4 out (Jules, Kennedy, Hendrie, Coleman) 1 nearly out (Morris) and 2 or 3 more questionable (Loft, Jones, Gnahoua). In the meantime we've effectively only brought 1 in so far (Edwards) as Walker can't play for us til next season. However, none of the 8 I've mentioned have been anywhere near the 1st team apart from Coleman.
Just re-enforces Ricketts view that the squad was too big

Still, he's another one who has not been anywhere near the 1st team. In a sense it's 10, as LJL is unlikely to play for us again.

So unless we can find someone else to take him on, it's going to cost us to get rid.

That’s fine but does Ricketts know what he’s doing? Got a lot to prove in the next few games but we’ll know in the next couple of weeks IF HIS plan to thin down and bring in better quality players makes us look more competitive and more importantly improve results...

He's shifting out a load of reserve players/players that have already been deemed surplus to requirements. What he is doing is hardly revolutionary so not sure why you are asking 'does Rickett know what he is doing'? If he was getting rid of first team players then you could ask the question but getting rid of dead wood to free up funds to improve the team/squad isnt exactly rocket science and shouldnt come as a surprise

Not disagreeing with what you say, I’m asking a question that will be answered IF his plan works ..... My view though (we’ve all got different ones) is Bryan Morris deserved to stay here this season and compete for a place which seems possible based on the interest he’s attracting now. A decision was made by someone in the closed season and again now he wasn’t part of the clubs plan and I’m questioning if that was the correct one. Time will tell.

Your point about his ‘plan’ then is only regarding Morris unless you disagree with him getting rid of Hendrie, Coleman, Jules, Kennedy, Colkett? None of them have been first choice under the previous 2 managers. He’s quite right to free up space in the squad and get rid of players who are nowhere near the first team. It’s what every manager will do..! Morris is the only contentious one but if he’s not interested in coming back to us or we’ve been offered a decent deal with a % sell on you can’t really grumble too much at that. He needs to be able to bring in players else we’re stuck with an unbalanced squad.

you would hope the priority will be a keeper, forward and if loft does go then add a holding midfielder.

Glad you agree it’s a contentious one, the damage was done in the summer making him feel unwelcom and sending him out on loan (can’t believe it was Askey decision) ... I’ll await the players that will make a difference but think history will show we made the wrong decision with BM

Whatever he brings in needs to able to adapt to a different system which would enable us to ditch the diamond.

so far a much loved but injury prone former player ( who unfortunately got injured on his first brief appearance)
a player he managed but we wont see till next year but is viewd as a "prospect" if rumours are to be belived a failed trialist who has butter fingers but is a former team mate and friend so far then two friends and a player he used to manage
we are nearly half way through the transfer window and is this the best he can do

OMG, he's doing a Roy Keane! Only signing players from his old teams and his mates! Hey Ricketts, that didn't quite work for Keane, so stop it now! Thank you.

Can’t believe Nicky Ajose has gone on loan to Mansfield for the rest of the season from Charlton. Why the hell haven’t we tried to get him, a proven successful league 1 striker who knows the league and he’s gone to league 2 on loan.
I know Mansfield through money around ( paying Angol £2,5000 a week rumoured) but still we’ve got to be competitive for these sort of players on loan

Maybe having this lovely lady (CEO Carolyn Radford) doing the negotiating was a factor in their favour though?

Arthur Gnahoua's loan expires today so a decision on what is happening with him should be announced soon.

Why were there no players lined up? It's been obvious for weeks that we've got an unbalanced squad full of rubbish.
We're now nearly half way through January and we've only signed one player, who plays in the only position where we didn't need any new players. The squad is probably in worse shape than it was a few weeks ago considering we've sent Coleman back with no replacement lined up.
I thought Ricketts has excellent contacts in the game?

Rumours overs Coventry are that Brown and Ogogo haven’t been in the squad recently because they are unhappy and want to leave..
Amazing to think that the only player who left us in the summer (bar loanees) that’s done anygood has been Craig Mcg (and maybe Bryn Morris..!)

Waterfall put on an egregious preformance on Saturday, and I reckon this will be Sadler's last season as he's starting to make mistakes and is also too slow. Can't see Beckles as the answer either.
