Having a nosey at their messageboard they are yet to be convinced by Nolan..! They’re not seeing what all the fuss was about. Seem happy with Toto at the moment though... Said all along that Nolan is overrated and will stand by it. I'd imagine Toto could make the step up, although will undoubtedly get caught out by the movement of the strikers at that level. You can't just be a lump at the back in the Championship if you want to be a decent centre half.

The symmetry continues. Shrewsbury P6 W0 D3 L3. Ipswich P6 W0 D3 L3. To complete the triangle I would also include Macclesfield except after Saturday their record is now worse: Macclesfield P6 W0 D2 L4

THe big problem with Ipswich is its lack of quality Italian restaurants. When they look to sign a player, surely his first question will be "Where in Ipswich will I be able to get a tasty lasagne?" and if the manager can't answer that then they'll struggle to attract players.

I a mate (who supports Leeds) to watch one of games last season. I pointed out Nolan at the start and said he was one of the best players in the league. After 90 minutes he suggested if Nolan was one of the best players in the league there was a gulf between League 1 and the championship as felt he was very average. Godfrey however did catch his eye.

Anyone found a decent video of Godfrey's tackle on Nolan from yesterday? Did Godfrey clatter him?

Anyone found a decent video of Godfrey's tackle on Nolan from yesterday? Did Godfrey clatter him? Four minutes after coming on, Godfrey was booked for catching Nolan late midway inside the Norwich half. so he might be off the Nolan Christmas card list!

All this anti- Hurst stuff is getting tedious.
Leave the guy alone and try and move on from it all.

I read this on the Ipswich ‘Sacked before Christmas’ thread.
“What is the point of sacking him, he inherited a team a mid table team that only needed a couple of additions , he has torn that team apart through his own pigheadedness sold players to finance his babies like Nolan , ruined the morale of the existing players trying to put his own stamp on the club , sorry the bloke is clueless , it's pointless sacking him because the quality we have now is league one status so we might come back up next year hopefully , the players he has brought in and insists on playing are not championship standard , basically the blokes a muppet”
It’s one of the harsher comments, but pretty much indicative of the feeling towards him.
I thouoight he did a very good job for us, and would not have minded him moving if he had done it in a better way. However I was disappointed in the way he left, and the timing of his approaches to Nolan and Toto.

I have to confess, there is a little bit of schadenfreude with me when it comes to Hurst. I'm enjoying it a tad at the moment. That might well change as things move on and they're really in trouble (and I might feel some sympathy) but at the minute...

He tried to run before he could walk. If he had stayed in league 1 for a couple more seasons he may have become championship ready. He now has chosen to rebuild his new team ( sounds familiar!) but unlike a similar club in league 1??? His new team just don't look like championship players. His team may improve yet but if it doesn't he could be coming back down to league one and we may be playing against him, so that will be interesting.

If Ipswich come down, I don’t expect Hurst to come with them, I think he will have been shown the door well before that! So I expect us to be playing him when he is charge of someone like Oxford, Gillingham or Sc***horpe. (No doubt with Nolan, Ogogo and Rodman)

Better still. We pass a relegated ipswich on the way up to the championship.......now that really would be satisfying 😃😃
