Losing both Godfrey and Ogogo now is a real, real blow.
What a time to happen.

What a crazy night/game. Sam Jones, you’ve had 2 months to get fit, time to shine boyo!

Reports are that O’Toole punched Abu a couple of times, then Abs reacted...I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.

We were the better side when we got it together but for about the first half hour and last 15 we were nowhere near our best. We edged it maybe but can't say we deserved the win. Very unlikely we were going to see the season out with ten wins anyhow. So maybe a decent point away from home. All eyes on Walsall now.

That long haired prick definitely punched Abs and then wouldn’t let go the absolute w@@@@r, what a s**te player should cut his pony tail, but Abs was retaliating....

A point away from home isn’t a disaster.
To be honest, we were slightly better than Northampton but quite a few underperformed.
Not impressed with Hendrie at RB. He has been poor for a few games now and I would not start him in the next game.
On to Wimbledon, we are still in an amazing position and there are still plenty of twists and turns left.
We can do this!!

With Godfrey and Abu both out for Saturday, our options seem to be either to go with 4-4-2, or perhaps bring in Jones for his 1st start. If Bolton is fit, Hendrie could be switched to midfield, but as I gather he had a poor game tonight, that doesn't seem to be the best solution.
I believe Jones is an attacking midfielder.

I'm currently in the process of collecting witness statements but from what I observed O'Toole t**tted Abs. What can't be excused is that reaction. Was absolutely farcical having the pair of them rolling around.
Was idle speculation on the terraces that the dubiously coiffured Cobbler might have said something very untoward (if one gets my drift), but that was quickly quashed due to no evidence at this stage.

I hate to be a pessimist but will it be three? Hasn’t he already served three after Rotherham? Do they add an extra one on?

Abu will get a four game ban, as he already had one red at Rotherham.

Would have taken four points from those two away games. Now we need to turn it back on at home in the remaining fixtures.
Disappointed to lose Abu - practically happened in front of where we were stood but didn't see it until they were trading punches - proper old scrap that.
Had the chances to win it especially with Omar's header.
Give Northampton a bit of credit for having a go second half when they could have tried to shut up shop. They have some nasty little fellas playing for them... less focus on whinging at the ref and kicking lumps out of the opposition and they'll probably stay up.

Just in the car on the way back to Suffolk. A poor start for town but we were well on top without really threatening when they scored. Hendrie poor (as he was all night) and failed to stop the cross.
2nd half only one team wanted to win it. Nolan went down far too easily looking for a pen when a cross would have been a better option. Borderline yellow card for me but wonder if this influenced the ref a couple of minutes later when Whalley was clipped for an absolute stonewall of a penalty. Anywhere else on the pitch and it's a clear foul.
Things got a bit feisty and really not sure what happened for the reds although the easiest decision any ref ever has to make. Something clearly riled Abu but his reaction was disappointing whatever it was. He's 28, our captain, he knows Godfrey is out for a couple of weeks, he knows this is the sharp end of the most crucial stage of the season. He walks away. Simple as that. Step away and carry on. Taken the shine of things for me as he's been my player of the season so far.
As for the goal, a decent 18 yard finish from Nolan after a corner wasn't cleared although questions asked of the keeper.
Only one team after that but despite some possession Northampton defended stoutly and no real chances other than a Beckles header from a corner that grazed the top of the bar but never really worked enough good positions.
Thought Nsiala and Sadler were immense, particularly Nsiala who made some outstanding interceptions, otherwise not a great deal of quality from what really was a typical lower mid table league one game, high on commitment but seriously lacking in quality.

Nolans goal was a bit more then decent! Drilled it in on the half volley, their keeper had no chance.

every point counts only time will tell how costly tonight's draw was for town.personally losing ogogo due to a red card feels a lot a worse. we have a team who have a great spirit and are doing amazingly well but Northampton have a goal difference of -25 that is why they are at the bottom end of the table and the Achilles heel for town is we dont score enough goals
nothing but a win on Saturday will do and we have to hope that a miracle happens and wigan drop some points

A rejuvenated and re-focused Wigan will take those clowns to the cleaners . Agree that a win against the Wombles is a must.

Not quite sure what instigated the dust up between O’Toole and Abs but before they hit the deck O’Toole caught Abs around the temple with one of the cleanest right hooks I’ve seen on a football field in quite some time.
What ensued was something reminiscent of a UFC fight with much grappling between the protagonists along with hooting and hollering from the crowd of surrounding players. Whether there were any meaningful punches thrown on the deck is questionable - certainly neither player looked to have eaten any grass upon returning to their feet so I suspect choke holds were the order of the day at that stage.
The ref, who suddenly reminded me of a slimmer Dana White, probably had no choice to send both players off.
My conclusion is that O’Toole is an absolute c***, but Abs lost his head (if you’ll excuse the pun). A dissappointing reaction but certainly one I can sympathise with.

I admit i would love to see any video of the bout between Abu Ogogo vs John-Joe O'Toole as from B&A twitter video and sky sports view it seemed intense. Someone in the ground on either side must have a video of the build up..... seems completely out of Abu's character..... unless I have miss-judged him...?

As mentioned 4 points from 2 away games is great, no one will win all their remaining games, that I am certain about! So on to the game, thought linesman infront of their main stand didn’t give us one single thing all night and the ref was poor, very Home biased... So my ratings for tonight: Deano - 6, one decent save first half and annoyed with the goal he conceded Hendrie - 4, very poor, kept losing battle to a poor winger, gave ball away and was rightly subbed, needs to improve big time Sadler- 7 , won headers, kept shape and general solid performance Tsiala- 7 , again won important headers and made some good tackles, decent performance Beckles- 6 did a few good things but also gave ball away too many times in first half and was just kicking ball out of play, unlucky with header at the end that clipped the crossbar Whalley- 6 didn’t really do much first half, more involved second half, final ball wasn’t the greatest Abs- 5 thought had a poor game didn’t really get going or make an impression seemed like the game was just passing him by... sent off for being attacked by a pony tailed p@@&k and to be honest to him not would retaliate the same way in the heat of the moment - shame as that John joe fool is a poor player.... Nolan- 7 tried to run things and more influence in the second half and was spraying it about nicely, nice finish for the goal, went looking for a penalty... Morris - 6 better Than Abs, did some basics well but didn’t impose himself enough Rodman- 5 quiet game thought he would be subbed , couple of better runs in the second half, but needed more from him tonight, was expecting Thomas on.... Morris- 6.5 tried all game, something’s worked and something’s didn’t, needed more support
Subs: Payne - 5 didn’t really do much when he came on, clearly had the hump at being sub as was warming up wih his hands in his pockets for most of it

I think tonight would of been perfect for Thomas to come on for Rodman... being more direct would of been better option as mentioned before The whole cobblers back line was s**tting themselves throughout the game and just wanted to boot it away ASAP in most cases out off the pitch....

We just need get back to winning again. we were never going to win every away game and at least there are still games left for the others to drop points and the more we win the better we will do if we do have to go in to the play off's.

I'm not one who regularly claims to be ITK, but I do have a friend of a friend type source to the dressing room this season - by all accounts O'Toole was racially abusing Ogogo. Disgusting if true.

I think we should go 442 on sat and take it to Wdon from the off...could be a decent point tonight - only time will tell...abs sent off / suspension is a blow but may force us to play a more attacking midfielder (Jones) in future games which could help us create more chances...Carlton needs more support up top at times and certainly needs to shoot more and look more of a goal threat - appreciate has been excellent for us so far this season - holding the ball up, running the channels, work rate etc..but we need goals to give us some breathing space in games... where in a great position and as PH says there will be plenty of twists and turns yet..! Here to beating Wdon and going 2 point clear at the top on sat at 5pm....keep the faith...!

I hate to be a pessimist but will it be three? Hasn’t he already served three after Rotherham? Do they add an extra one on? I hate to be the ultimate pessimist but won't he get additional for the 2nd scuffle after leaving the pitch ?
