I wonder if it's got anything to do with the D.U.P. getting billions to play with for supporting a sham of a government?

At the last election Corbyn's Labour Party held Warrington North and gained Warrington South from the Conservatives. So there's your answer.

Well Adams isn’t going to say any different now is he, I think that would be a given. But isn't the next general election sommat like 4 years away anyhow? And if the first weeks of 2018 are anything to go by I would think the chances of Corbyn becoming the next PM are thinner still. Can't see it happening anytime soon.

I doubt they were blissfully unaware of Corbyn's Republican sympathies. After all, it received wall-to-wall coverage in the papers and on television for weeks on end. In fact, you'd have been forgiven for thinking Corbyn had actually been a serving member of IRA, but unlike Conservative politician Maria Gatland, he wasn't.

Let's also not forget that at the time Corbyn and Livingston were openly talking to Adams, the Tory government of the time were having clandestine meetings with the IRA frightened of the backlash if these had been made public.

Only really needs the Government to suffer a vote of no confidence to trigger another election, so in theory Corbyn could be PM within a couple of months if May doesn’t keep shooting herself in the foot on a weekly basis
That said Rees Mogg is now bookmakers favourite to be next PM, and as May has ruled out staying in the Customs Union a United Ireland is now more likely than at any time in the last hundred years. So who knows what on earth will happen next

That might be time to look for property across the Irish Sea, leave New Victorian England and get an iFollow subscription!

We've been here before. It wasn't so much talking to Adams. It was attending an event where those who had fought and died for the IRA were honored. That's not recommended for anyone who might like to become PM of the UK sometime down the line.

I'm still seeing Balaclavas our kid. And a chap seeing the need to put his hood up and wear sunglasses. Indoors. Now why would you need to do that? The guy in the white shirt is clearly a dick but from the one bit of footage I can only assume he took acceptation to what Sunglasses Ron and the Baraclava twins were saying to Mogg and wanted to turn him away. I gather it escalated from there. What the hell are they up to?! Balaclavas?! Acting like pricks. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. And that goes for the daft protest we saw at the cafe in London too. If anyone is still wondering how the hell the Tories can still hold on to power despite being the shower of s**te that they are then you only need look at the events these last couple of weeks.

So why not involve the police and let them investigate then? If the papers are to be believed all the evidence is there to gather enough evidence for an assult charge? When asked to give a statement to Police he apparently refused. Rees Mogg has met with the Breitbart team on regular occasions (they were filming the event last week) and Steve Bannon is well known for these kind of set up's from the USA. Funny how this week after the negative economic news about Brixit Rees Mogg gets caught up in this incident and then ramps up the allegations about corruption in the civil service. Almost as though he is after a bit of publicity to get his campaign going. No doubt there are some nutters and nasty in Momentium, but they are just as helpful to Mogg and the Daily Mail as they are the left. Always worth keeping that in mind when reading the press reports on these kinds of incidents. Politics is getting very grubby in the UK

Guardian, Mirror and Independent carried similar articles but though some on here might consider them equally biased! Just add in that I've attended a large number of talks by politicians - both ministers and opposition parties and very few bring their own tv crew and body guards to what was a fairly minor event. Most just turn up under their own steam and at most have a pa with them. Then one of the first people to publish the video is Raheem Kassan from Breitbart. Only person who doesn't look surprised by the events is Mogg himself.

Always worth keeping that in mind when reading the press reports on these kinds of incidents. Politics is getting very grubby in the UK Who was assaulted? I've not seen anything to suggest Mogg was assaulted. So why would he look to press assault changes if he wasn't assaulted. He just said there was a bit of a push and shove and some choice words said. Which is what he thought had happened. I followed the link you gave and was looking to hear the sound. So checked the Britbart website and was able to watch the whole video... So it looks pretty clear Mogg wasn't assaulted. And however way you want to look at it, it doesn't look well on those who tried to disrupt the event. And whilst the chap in the white shirt clearly loses his patience first, by the end of the video he isn't the only one who is getting physical with those who tried to disrupt the speech. In the end a number of those attending are trying to force them out the door. Whether he was there to crank things up I have no idea but considering the embarrassing behavior of those looking to disrupt the event I'd question whether he needed to anyhow. They're not there to discuss or debate, just act like idiots. Whether people like it or not, these people and their actions are now associated with the left, Labour and Momentum. Indeed, when you read recent comments from Claire Kober it would suggest this sort of thing isn't something only to be found on the fringes of the Labour party. And you are right about things getting grubby. Can't believe some of the stuff written on that site you linked to in the comments section. Blimey.

The Tory party are still very friendly with terrorist sponsoring countries, but people vote for them.
