Isn't it fantastic to see so many ?shrews from up and down the country and beyond? Just reading some of the posts from exiled shrews makes you realise that we've got support from true Shrewsbury Town supporters the world over. And doesn't it make you feel good to know that! This sunday is going to be a fantastic gathering of the clan and a brilliant day out for us all.

Talking to a friend today who has been following the Town progress over the season even though he supports Worcester City . He said it was impressive to see that the Shrewsbury gates at home and their away following were above last year. Shows the passion and longing for a quick return to the league strengthens the support base.

Not that I enjoy playing devils advocate , but I was talking to my mum yesterday, who can be quite outspoken and oppinionated at times , and she said to me, " ah, its all well and good us taking 12.000 to the match on sunday, but how many of those 12.000 will still be going next season and how many have been this season, they all come out of the woodwork when theres a big game ". Now before anyone slates me, those are her feelings not mine. I think its wonderfull to have such a worldwide fan base and to be able to draw support like this. Just didnt feel I could tell my mom she was talking out her ar**. Bless

I'd venture that around 6-7000 of those will go to 5 or more home games next year.
