Was Connelly the 29 for them? If so he should have been in the book much earlier than he was.
From block 13 the red card was 50:50 for me. Player was getting frustrated and seemed to lunge a bit, but don't think there was any intent to hurt Gayle (not that that is the point with a red now)
Would like to know if there is some rule over letting players back on the pitch after treatment. Seen a few games this season where refs seem slow letting players back on and wonder if there is new guidance to delay it for a few seconds?

I think they just don't want players to come straight on where the play is happening, so they wait till it moves to another part of the pitch before waving them back on

We always moan when the refs do bad, so I'd just like to say I thought the referee today was absolutely brilliant. Kept the game going forward and in my opinion got all the decisions right. Hopefully it can continue. Best ref in years down the Meddah. That was his fourth Football League game as a Referee
