He's shown the potential to be a decent central midfield player, at the age of 22 he now needs a decent run in his preferred position to show how good he could be. Stuck out wide for a lot of his Town career under GT didn't really give him a fair chance to shine mind. That's a bit of a fallacy . During his initial loan spells he was played out of position. The season after and last season he wasn't. Woods hasn't come up through a big club's youth set up like Wildig but has developed much quicker IMO and will end up playing at a very decent level. As you say it's all about opinions. I still feel Wilding could follow Woods and play at a higher level.

This backs up my theory that we'll be playing a Juan Ate Juan formation this season.

My guess is that he has signed today but everyone at the club is preparing for the game tomorrow and the player obviously wouldn't be involved in the Wimbledon game so it will be announced on Monday.

Don't know if the signing went through or not but does any one actually know who it is we are supposed to be signing.

We talk of selling/not selling players (woods et al) yet we would have gladly seen GT buy Eaves after his first loan spell. Will Eaves be a good player in the future though? Will we witness in the next season or so a player regularly scoring goals> Hopefully not against us though!

Did he confirm any details? That they had a gentlemans agreement that said player would be joining today

Sloppy radio says that player has changed his mind and will not be signing.

Maybe he realised he's going to struggle to get a game after the weekend.

If it was that Osbourne then I cannot say that I am fussed.

If it was that Osbourne then I cannot say that I am fussed. Agree, we are strong enough in centre mid and don't need another player there. Only place we could probably do with a signing is on the wing.

Whoever it was we are better off without as he obviously hasn't the will to commit himself the cause - wrong DNA for us. Doesn't understand the words 'gentleman's agreement either so no thanks from me. As MM said about an earlier agreement - it's only as good as the gentlemen concerned and Scott Vernon proved to be one of those gentlemen.

O well!
The only signing I would like to see if I am being greedy is a winger

Makes you wonder if he had been signed Friday (without having the week-end to think about it) he could have turned out to be a right ass- hole. No big loss, onward and upwards.
