Many would be regulars - it's not the same 4.5k fans who attend every home game.
For me I'd work on offering a couple of local schools each game free tickets with the hope that the kids get hooked and bring their parents along thereafter.

I agree about the schools Ant. It was something I was passionate about and I had hoped it would still be available to all schools in our county but I am not sure what the situation is now. There have not seemed to be many in Block 1 for home league games this season, are they somewhere else now? Perhaps some clarification could be sought so that schools and grassroots junior football clubs know what is on offer to them to attend the matches. The SP could help to spread that message and encourage these potential new supporters to start following the Town.

I know that there are plenty anti-smoking people on here and attending regularly, but there are still quite a few smokers that like to go and having the ability to pop out for a fag at half-time would be nice. I know they allow it at some other grounds and it takes very little policing by the stewards, at Villa Park they mark out an area with cones and tape and one or two stewards keep an eye on things. It wouldn't have to be in every stand, possibly just the South stand or maybe even where South and West meet. Negligible cost to the club that would actually be a nice thing to do and potentially get more smokers going to the games if they can get out at h/t for a ciggy.

The Supporters Liaison Officer, is Jamie Edwards I think part of the Community team at the club. Initially there was some discussion that a fan might take this role on (i applied and had a couple of chats) but this was not taken on. I have not met the guy, and hes not been involved in the SP at all (yet). I hope an invitation is extended to him for the next meeting, as given his role, it would be good to have him there. Also just to add a Press Release is being written at the moment that gives more details on what the SP has been doing these last few months. I'd have thought that attending these meetings would have been part of the remit / jobn description of the SLO ? He should be invited in any event.

Just looked on the website to see that Walsall tickets will only be sold up until 2pm today. Now that is ok for me because I have ordered on line. However, I recently discussed with Greg the fact that the buses from outlying areas do not get into the ground until at least 2.15 and most of them later than that. The stewards also like them out of the ground asap at the end. He told me that unless queues were going out of the gate, tickets would continue to be sold for all games.
Could this be bought up when tickets are discussed please. A lot of folks on the buses are elderly and prefer to purchase in person they also may be wanting to purchase their season ticket seat. Are the new members of management aware of the distances involved for those from outlying areas to make special journeys why has what I have been told been altered? After all it's Walsall not Chelsea!!!!!!

P.S. Would it be so very difficult to have just one window selling tickets for up and coming games?

can someone be kind enough to raise the point to the club on general appearance of stadium, as the one thing i noticed on my recent visit to the chelsea game was that year on year the white pillars/structural metal frames connecting to the roofs of the stands all away around the stadium are deteriating and are in desperate need of some TLC, covered in rust and green mould/grime, would be nice with all the money made recently to splash a little cash on giving them a clean and a lick of new white paint, dont mean to be petty, but hopefully a valid point raised there to put to the club, as very noticeable. thanks

In block 17 its now starting to be a bit of an issue. Feel free to come along and raise the point yourself if you can.

I noticed when I went to get my ticket for the Walsall game , that contractors were working at the front of the building, cleaning the surface of the bricks that the fans had purchased. Roland one of the men to look at the green mould that was growing on the metal structure. It seems the ground is getting a late spring cleaning?

The whole stadium desperately needs a clean and should be an annual activity during the close season.

afternoon all, any update gents on the meeting from a few weeks back, keen to know the latest thanks Bit of a let down but you can't knock volunteers, what is disappointing is that of all the supporters groups nothing is written on their sites either. I am not sure why that should be the case!
