I have to say I didn't believe that figure at first...that is an incredible response by the supporters of Shrewsbury Town... And well done to the club for being able to shift that many in such a short time...they must be well knackered bless 'em...

it's a fantastic effort by every one concerned.
I happen to believe that the explanation so many have gone already is that people without preference status(season tickets, priority cards) have just turned up and purchased their tickets without having to prove anything.
I did that because i was worried about missing out on where i wanted to sit, and i know a fair few others that have done the same.

I'm not sure if we will sell that many on general sale though, I guess many of the STH/Super Blues/Priority Card holders would have bought the extra tickets for their family/friends who dont have these......
On the Barnet away programme's excellent guide to the Britannia Stadium (arrogant gits ;D) it says the Boothen and Sentinel Stands hold around 16,000 combined, will we get these extra 4,000 tickets if the initial 12,000 sell out?

What are the chances of getting the extra 5,000 from Aldershot?
We will outnumber them 2 to 1.

What is the point int saying that tickets will be on general sale from tomorrow if they are being sold right now? I won't be a happy bunny if I go down tomorrow afternoon and find out they have all gone

With 3,000 left of the original allocation and 1,000 extra coming tomorrow surely they'll be some left for general sale?

true, but what's the point in saying general sale starts at midday tomorrow when you can get them now? I was in Town this morning and could have got them then but now need to make another trip in tomorrow.

If tickets are being sold to people without season tickets/ priority cards now it isn't good organising by town, its bloody awful. Being an exile I planned to get my ticket tommorow with my prority card and there better still be some tickets!

It's true just got 5 tickets for block 31 sentinel & no card asked for - just as well as i don't have one. Was going to go down for general sale til' someone said on here anyone could get a ticket. i agree it's not right & accept that the club staff are working v hard but they should stick to the info they put out otherwise it will create ill feeling.

I cant believe that they are now selling to anyone, as i Live in weston super mare, there is no way i can get to the Ground so i will have to phone tomorrow, but having now read this thread im not sure i will get a ticket, as it looks like they might all go, if that happens i will be gutted, as it is if i do get one and its posted to me i will have to pray the post office pulls its fingers out, to be honest im not sure i will get a ticket, with having to wait until midday saturday until i can phone up and try and buy a ticket.

mybe with a total like that it is time to cut the club staff some slack?
surely 3,000 a day is an amazing achievement and we should be grateful for all that they have done

"i agree it's not right & accept that the club staff are working v hard but they should stick to the info they put out otherwise it will create ill feeling" You slag off the club over this, yet still take advantage yourself?!

I was down at 10am this morning, it was chaos, but the staff were cool and dealing with everyone in an orderly manner. Even got some banter with Judy

Herefordshrew - it wasn't me at Hartlepool - never been near the place!
However, I'm a priority card holder, and been out of the country since last Sat (yes missed the semi) and outraged to find that in danger of missing out 'cos the club are giving them away to all and sundry by all accounts. What on earth is the point of a priority scheme if you don't get priority? Yet again, the club are in danger of cocking up what should be a simple process. 2 tickets per priority card holder should have been enough, not unlimited numbers
