I will be in Ye Oldie City of York on the day of the playoff final after a naughty weekend away with the future Mrs Poole.But be assured i will be looking for that well known Yorkshire good will when i do my search for the pub with the best beer and Sky t.v.

Skunkie, there are many pubs in the city that show football, The Northern Wall, Cross Keys, five Lions to name 3, sadly Iwont be there either as I am in Majorca. So any one in the Cala Bona area which visits this site, please come forward and advise any bars which show Sky.

When I was in Prague last, there was a bar called Dogs b******s which was advertising Premiership matches (so it may have Sky or something similar). Didn't go in because the name suggested it was not an authentic Czech place ;D
Its on a street called Ostrovni which is a couple of blocks south and west of the National Theatre. (about 10 min walk)

At the moment I have a ticket, but its looking pretty hairy for me getting there on account of the 1pm start. I work as an air traffic watch manager at a well known local airport and my shift on Sunday finishes at 1345! I am currently trying bribes to get someone to cover for me so I can get away by 1130 to stand a chance of making KO - but so far my head is losing and the brickwall is winning!

We really need to do something for people who, for whatever reason, can't be there.

I really feel for them because I've had to work Saturdays and Tuesday nights and miss things- like Morecambe.

It must be doubly hard when it's the final. Let's hope everyone can get the game videoed for them

What about arranging some kind of get together and celebration, a week or two afterwards?

I shall not be there either. I will be in Cork Playing golf with 15 other Shrewsbury chaps (5 or 6 actually watch town). The trip was booked back in December. I am teeing off in the first group on Sunday morning so should be back in the clubhouse by 13:30 ish. Someone told me it was some Hurling final though

Me and Debi are heavily involved in the 5km run/walk in Telford Town Centre on the day to raise money for Breast Cancer. I will probably be clear of my responsibilities by 2pm so will probably watch the second half in the nearest pub with all the local Aldershot fans

Debi will miss the whole game, but a neighbour is taping it for us.

DOG bol$£ks is worth a visit and there is another bar just a little closer to the national theatre which does better food - but I can't remember the name
