It's almost like they're promoting football as an adult's game, rather than a source of family entertainment. How is this meant to encourage a family atmosphere across the whole crowd when they (NOT STFC) are forcing parents+kids into a mad scramble for one area, and discouraging them from mingling with the rest?
Always thought the idea of Family Stands was to give a more "safe" area to parents and kids who don't want to be in the throng, not to discourage them from the rest of the ground if thats where they want to be from a financial POV.
Hope that makes sense, my 2p's worth.

you can't complain at £20 for a cup final all the tickets will sell at that 2500 is almost 4 times the amount our family stand holds so nobody should miss out if you don't sit in the family stand at the meadow then wanting a concession for not sitting in the family stand in a cup final is a no no ps bit annoying that its only up the road i love those long away trips on the bus

£20 at the side of the pitch is a far better buy than £20 behind the goals.
Far better view for the same money. can't beleive there isn't a different price for the two.

If you want the long trip feeling Pilch, go by train via Crewe ;D It's not so much the quantity of spaces perhaps, but the way it's going to push some families who enjoy mingling in the rest of the crowd into somewhere they don't want to be for financial reasons alone. That considered, imagine how bad it would be for Telford, everyone having to pay full whack for each of their 8 children

There arent many grounds at the level Town play or even hope to play next season which doesnt give concessions to a child. There will never be enough places for families in that family stand.

Kids can have a concession on the terrace at The Meadow after all.

I am absolutely gobsmacked! Your not the only one our kid...won't effect me like but I simply can't understand that pricing policy. What on earth are the Conference thinking... This type of thing really does get to me, why should a child pay more to see the same game because they will be sitting outside of the family enclosure? And with limited space it's clear that not everyone who will bring children will be able to get themselves tickets in the family enclosure. If there is a pricing policy for adults 20 pounds and children 10 pounds in one section of the ground then it should be for the complete stadium. It's wrong this, simple as... If there is enough room in the family enclosure then I stand corrected but I'll be surprised if there is...2,500 for both Town and Aldershot fans?

Seems a very daft decision by the Conference. A quick look at SCFC's normal matchday prices shows concessions are available around the ground.

Seems a very daft decision by the Conference. A quick look at SCFC's normal matchday prices shows concessions are available around the ground. At present they haven't been able to say they can give discounts to kids with packages, and they do that normally too. I asked the conference woman if she was really telling me that a 2 year old would have to pay £70 plus VAT for a 4 course meal they wouldn't eat, and she said she thought they would!

stuttgarter,
are you implying there's a total capacity of 2500 for families there, cos i read it as 2500 for Town, and probably the same again for Shots?

The family stands are blocks 32/33/34 looks like Who is to blame for these prices and why is it only the family stand that has concessions? www.stokecityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/PriceTable/0,,10310,00.html Price table at Stoke. All areas have concessions!

AFAIK the whole thing is set up by the Conf for this one, they likely pay a flat rate to Stoke for the ground rental, hence they picked somewhere they could fill and turn a tidy profit off. Made even tidier by shafting the kids more than Michael Jackson!
