I've read some dumb things on B&A this week I expect I've posted most of them.

This is a trainwreck of a thread.
Calling an irishman Fenian is a bit like using the N word to describe another minority.
They won't "go home" to Ireland because they are Scottish.
And the old firm sectarian nonsense is about as bad as it gets in football IMO, with Rangers being equally bad.

didnt realise....
I try to keep away from all the politics and disgraceful stuff that goes on around football and thought it would be good to just show you that one video...
I thought it was quite good to see a club get their younger supporters to feel good about themselves and it made me chuckle how confident the little kid was and how willing the celtic "ultras" were to sing along with the song.

I nearly feel sorry for these pseudo Rangers fans a once great club that could soon go into receivership because of it's massive debts to the tax man, but then I remember the streets of Manchester in 2008 and the threats to Neil Lennon this year.
Unfortunately all clubs have idiots amongst their fan base, but for any so called Rangers fans to allege that somehow their idiots are better than other idiots just shows their bigotry.
Being at an Old Firm match is an amazing experience, sometimes the question is, is it a good experience?

Cant say ive ever seen a St Andrews cross being waved by celtic fans at Parkhead, plenty of irish tricolors tho. Alex1993... Do you have any idea what the lovely celtic ultras are singing? i couldn't make it out personally but what makes you so sure it isnt a song with sectarian connotations? In which case I'd find the video pretty shocking and distasteful but i agree with Hope 2010 in that its probably no worse than anything Rangers fans get up to.

Shrewed - are you Catholic? What a stereotypical question, thought you'd have known better than trying to put labels on people. If you want to put a label on me try an agnostic tending to Christian Socialist.

Both sets of fans are tossers and anyone trying to claim they are better than the other is totally wrong. Both lots are from the bottom of the barrell and no tears would be shed by me if either club went bust.

So because both clubs have their lunatic fringe you tar all fans as being from the bottom of the barrel, I hope all Town fans aren't judged by the past antics of the EBF.

Anyone one who knows me will tell you i haven't a bigoted bone in my body. However, back in Sep '87 i was on a ferry from Hoek of Holland to Harwich bringing some kit back from Belgium whilst serving in The Army. Unluckily for me the ship was packed with hundreds of Celtic fans returning from a UEFA cup tie in Dortmund. The abuse i suffered was unbelieveable, including people spitting in my face and screaming up the IRA. I have nothing but contempt for the scum who follow Celtic (and Rangers) and sympathy for the decent fans who put up with it every week.

Mentioning the newspapers - that's a classic Old Firm paranoia example. Which one are you? And aye, **** the Old Firm.
