SMS text this morning from STFC - Bradshaw has signed a new contract until end of 2013.
A change of leaf - the town sorting out deals sooner!
Well done Tom - well deserved and a future asset with the club signed for the future.

Well thats a MASSIVE turn up for the books it really is... so many people have been saying sort this out... to lose a regualr Welsh U21 at the end of this season for nothing would have been a joke....
Well done town in reverting (hopefully) to a sensible way of sorting young prospects contracts out and well done Bradders for seeing that with STFC he can go a long way in the next couple of seasons...

An extension to "2013".... Presumably that means the end of the 12/13 season....so only a 12 month extension then??

fair do's - we give the club plenty of stick on here, and about this subject in particular, so only fair to say well done to all involved - good business for all concerned.

Excellent news. TB is by no means the finished article yet (needs to work on his first touch in particular) but to allow him to walk away at the end of this season would have been scandalous.
Thankfully it looks like STFC have learnt from previous mistakes in this area.

In theory it is an extra year, but i think Tom would benefit from better money from now, would he not?. Either way great news, not only for Tom but to see Town management and Directors being clearly positive about the future of the youngsters and being proactive in keeping them. well done.

Really good news in my book, well done for sorting this out early and not letting there be any risk of a good prospect leaving on a free.
Hopefully this means a change in policy.
Although perhaps a few people will be coming on here now and moaning because actually having a contract will 'distract' him and that we should have left it to the end of the season, as seemed to be the case last season when other player's contracts were running down without any offers

Im quite shocked on 2 fronts but very pleased.
Im shocked Town have sorted this contract at this point instead of having another Taylor saga so glad its sorted as this player is one for the future. Im also shocked Bradshaw signed as he is a very good player who hardly plays but is playing for Wales under 21's and there are biger clubs than Town after him and usually agents get them to leave where the money is.
Who is he agent as he seems a decent one

This is excellent news. Surprising that the suits have done this but they must be congratulated. We've been critical in the past about the contract fiasco of 2009 so let's hope this is a changing of the ways.
Now let's offer Lionel an extension.

I refuse to believe our club would do something as sensible as this, I think they're winding us all up.

Great news Ironic as was in Aber yesterday and had a brief look around the stadium, always nice to see where a player starts at.

Great news. We've got lots of players out of contract at the end of this season, so good to keep one of our top prospects onboard.

Is that all four strikers signed up for next season then? Collins is out of contract end of season I think. Don't know if it was ever announced how long Gornells contract was?

Didn't see this one coming. Great move by the club and hopefully a change in direction in regards to contracts. If we offer Lionel and contract before and he rejects, it gives GT a full 8 months to find a replacement before we start life in L1 in Aug 2012!
