Certainly didn't think there was much to suggest we'll be worse off than last season. As the season progresses we may find ourselves in a much better position to advances to the automatic spots. Still, in my opinion, the play off's won't be a bad season. It's what we should aim for.

Excellent win - if not a fantastic performance.
Tiredness certainly set in during the second half but still had a few bits of quality to get the goals at the start of each half, and we worked hard as a team to keep Torquay out, not helped by some poor officials
Word has to go to Howe - disgraceful performance by him today. He seems a stone overweight which is poor for a professional player. The dive trying to get a penalty was a joke, and his constant moaning and cheating made him look stupid. Then to top it all off he lashes out at Hazell injuring a fellow pro. If Torquay have anything about them they will fine him the maximum they can - really bad advert for them today

Playing Southend, Crawley and Rotherham in the next four games... huge few games!

Some wise words from Welshshrew and some ridiculous statements by a few others. It's still relatively early days but we have reached the first mile post in fine form

According to Martin Ling, Torquay manager, Howe's blatant dive was in fact a penalty!
Although he did admit he deserved to be sent off!

Nice bit of extra commentary from Andy and Ant (who thought the mikes were off). Added some clarity about what they thought of the ref and Rene Howe. Whoops

Playing Southend, Crawley and Rotherham in the next four games... huge few games! 5 points from those three would be a good return I reckon. 6 or 7 would be fantastic.

If Torquay have anything about them they will fine him the maximum they can - really bad advert for them today I agree, the second half showed how much effort the lads had put in on Tuesday night. It doesn't help that our next game is on a Friday, which gives the lads less time to rest and also for the injuries to heal. As for Howe, hmmmm, I'm surprised he wasn't subbed, as it was clear that he wouldn't complete the 90 minutes. Should have been a straight red, but the ref had an awful game so not surprised he opted for the easy option of a second yellow! But 3 points and beaten the team that our place in the playoff final last year so more than happy with the result!
