Keep the Red Flag Flying I do not want Telford to fold, I do not want Telford to drop out of the Conf becasue of the actions of Shaw, and I do not want Telford to be our main rivals for another 50 odd years Here's hoping for a Shrewsbury promotion party in Stoke

For me I think it depends how many Telford fans come out and support Shrewsbury in their hour of need.
I expect any tickets left for the home leg of the play-offs to be bought by Telford fans. They should come along and get fully behind the Town with lots of vocal support.
Not to much to ask, after the support the Town fans have given Telford is it?

I have hardly commented on the situation at Telford, right from the start.
I still won't, I dont know enough of the facts.
As far as whether I want them to survive, of course I do, its sad when any business dies as a result of poor accounting etc, especially if there are a few hundred people who get some sort of enjoyment from supporting this business.
I would never revel in the fact that Telford are in the pooh, although I do feel a small sense of satisfaction, in respect of things being said earlier in the season, and last season that Telford had found a sugar daddy, who was going to take them to bigger and better things
The fact that its Telford doesn't particularly make me any more or less happy than if it had been anyone else.
Telford have been taken in by someone promising the earth, thats not a new thing, its been happening forever.

Shaw reckoned that if he had not stepped in, during the mid 90s, Telford would have died. He has also been quoted as saying that he fought a losing battle, trying to get the public of Telford to support his ambitions for the club, in sufficient numbers to make a Conference/Division 3 club viable.Much as I intensely dislike the bloke, I feel that recent events have proved him right - the only way they will get 4000+ crowds, is by playing clubs with large away followings. I don't wish to see them die, but feel that it is time for them to live within their means, at whatever level this is viable. As for local rivalry, I have never enjoyed playing Telford, just as I never enjoyed England playing Scotland - we were there to be shot at.

I wouldnt like to see telford go under, Im being a bit presumptious, but I think if anyone on this board is being honest, then niether do they. I think basically, the fact that you lot are in trouble financially is being used as a bit of a stick to beat you with, cos sadly we havent been able to do it on the pitch. I dont have a problem with that, its fun and its good old fashioned banter. Long may it continue.

Citizen Smith is without doubt the finest film Orson Welles ever made.

I certainly don't want your club to die. Yes, we're Rivals- but, in common with a few Shrews fans here, I actually went to one of your games, (F.A Trophy first leg semi-final) when I couldn't get to a Shrewsbury Away match. And I took two kids with me.
My Aunt used to go to watch "Wellington Town" at the old Buck's Head, years and years ago. Of course I wouldn't want it to die.
Personally, I think it IS different to banter about results - and that tormenting people about a serious financial situation IS a bit below the belt. But that's me- some think all's fair in Love, War and Football!
I honestly think that, deep down, even they wouldn't really wish to see your club die.

I'd rather see you drop a few leagues than to go bust all together, but you won't get much sympathy out of me- you could see this coming at the start of the season.

I really think this is a major over reaction by some telford fans, firstly the whole debate is over the use of a laughing smiley (next to a sad smiley). Gpricey has already stated he feels for thge fans etc regarding the recent troubles and does not want to see the club go out of business. The use of a laughing smiley in a post is no worse than Telford fans "CHEERING" at Shrewsbury being relegated from division 3, in fact the act of cheering means that you are HAPPY about an event happening and if that cheering is (usually) accompanied by a sperson or laughter means you find the fact that that event has happened as being funny. Get of your high horse's and get back to the real world, its a bit of banter, nothing more. If you dont like it, dont visit B&A, its as simple as that really!
