Hi all. been a long time since we've been down here so thought I'd drop in to a few of our probable rivals and say hi. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Is it true that Mickey Heathcote is still your best player? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/1258782/images/pqnQOqOSibedLgQPAcub.png) It's probable we're only going to be here for a season anyway as strong rumours are suggesting we're going to have £500K - £1M to spend on transfers on top of our wage budget, but I'm really looking forward to visiting a lot of grounds that I haven't been to in ages. And in the case of the New Meadow, I've never been. So what are your outlooks for the season? You must have a shot at one of the 2 other autos surely along with the along big fish down here like Bradford, Rotherham and Port Vale.

I think it will be even tighter this year amongst the promotion contenders. We could have easily have won this league if Wigglesworth had his specks on and whisker against Chesterfield at home, the dodgy penalty Port Vale got, the last minute howlers by Neal along with Holden's amazing defending at Wycombe and Barnet. Yes we took a gun and shot ourselves in the foot and ran out of steam in the play offs. Dunno how we will fair next season hopefully push and win the damn thing if we improve our squad. I can see a tight season though. Plymouth, Vale, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, Bradford, Rotherham oh not forgetting creepy Crawley's funding. Then you have the no mugs to contend with and you will see for yourself today's playoff losers, Accrington, Morecombe, Dagenham (who proved it last season) AFC Wimbledon, Morecombe, Macclesfield even dare I say Hereford who are all no mugs and could push on the tighter it is. It will be interesting, league champiosn only getting 75 points lol well stranger things have happened.

It will suit us not to be the favourites next season but no reason why we cant go one better than this season and get automatic promotion. Add Gillingham and Oxford to your bigger fish list and money bags Crawley, together with a few smaller teams (who have decent managers) like Aldershot, Stevenage/Torquay, Crewe and Accrington ............. and you may start to see that your Green Army may not find victories so easy to come by ![;)](http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/winking/winking0070.gif)

I think we are all resigned to losing heavily to the mighty relegated Plymouth!! and are in awe of your spending powers and crowd pulling. Can fully understand why all clubs in this league are in your shadow.
Can you remind me why you were deducted 10 points again please?? ;D

Have you not just released 9 of your better players because you have no idea of what your budget will be next season? Seems to me that Reid is in limbo at the moment. Not sure I'd be pinning my hopes on Peter Ridsdale either. Possible you could have money...it's also very possible you could have a nightmare.

If Plymouth want to set themselves up as "just visiting league 2 for a season" then good luck to them. Big club or not they are in the basement division and the vast majority of clubs, ourselves included will really want to lift their game against them.
Btw, what happened to Paul Whitehouse & his green army ads?

I'm sure all the local businesses and charities that are receiving something like 1% of the money they're owed, are delighted to hear your news about plymouth's transfer budget Many congratulations at totally missing the point, well done. We've persevered and managed to arrange a 0.7% CVA which is tremendous news for the club and the local area which relies on the Green Army as it's lifeblood. This means our debts can be written off and now we can start afresh and hopefully be chasing the Premier League again in the not too distant future. Annoyingly it looks like Yannick Bolasie is off to Bristol City for a scandalous £100K but if we buy Dany N'Guessan for the £175K he's available for then that should cover us off there. Also were rumours we were lining up Brodie from Crawley but that c*** Evans upped the price.

If you chaps from Slopshire had two pennies to rub together and buy a promotion quality squad then surely you'd be confident of promotion next year too?
