Sean if you watch closely after 2 seconds you can see a man carrying a sword. So therefore these people were not innocent and unarmed Isn't it a flag? That's what I thought.

Just one more point does anyone know 100% if it is against the law to protest against the king or the goverment in that country?

Just one more point does anyone know 100% if it is against the law to protest against the king or the goverment in that country? The Ditherington douche bag speaks. It probably isn't against the law for the police to blow someone's brains out on the street in Bahrain for dropping litter. But what is your ****ing point exactly? I remember, almost 22 years ago watching matters in Tianamen Square unfold, hoping that Gil Scott-Heron was wrong. In that same year he was proved wrong, of course, in Eastern Europe. We do things in a more gentlemanly manner in this country - only popping people over the head who have thin skulls. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8645485.stmBut scenes like those on the original video have been met in this country: www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/peterloo.htmlAnd around a hundred years ago someone who is now considered a national hero sent armed troops into the South Wales coalfields. So whilst we take for granted - far too much so - that we can remove our government without blood shed. It wasn't always been the case and may not be in the future, without vigilance. I made the point some weeks ago with regard to Wrexham and Shropshire trains that may be probably no one was listening but the point should be registered, because obviously, if objections to these scenes are not made then there is no chance of anyone listening. The track record of Amnesty International over 40 years shows that individuals all over the world can make a difference. I'd like to say that my family have a history of political protest, that my grandfather fought in the Spanish Civil War against people who hold the sort of views that the Ditherington douche bag. Sadly not; they were working class Tories. Bought just as surely as council houses were sold. I don't expect the Bahrain government to stop killing its citizens in cold blood. But I also hope that its citizens do not stop protesting. I'd also like them to shoot back. So for anyone interested: Embassy of the State of Bahrain 30 Belgrave Square London SW1X 8QB tel 0870 005 6702 fax 0207 201 9183 If you tolerate this your children will be next

SHAIKH KHALIFA BIN ALI BIN RASHID AL Embassy of the State of Bahrain 30 Belgrave Square London SW1X 8QB
Dear Sir,
I believe that you are the ambassador to my country for the State of Bahrain. I write to you as a private citizen of Great Britain who has no political affiliations, and who, until today as had no reason to concern himself with internal Bahrain matters or with the nature of the relationship between my country and yours. However the quite disgusting scenes of unarmed citizens being cut down and slaughtered in the street by automatic weapons fire requires a reaction.
Of course anything that I say in this letter can be ignored and, most likely be tossed into the bin without being read or considered. But I do believe that anyone who was sickened as I was by your government’s barbarity should register their opposition. Who knows, the drip, drip drip, of condemnation may become a flood. In any case if a voice is not raised then it is a certainty that it will not be heard.
After these scenes I do sincerely hope that the UK government reviews its relations with your country, especially in the matter of arms contracts where it is conceivable that these arms can be used against its citizens. I am also hoping that the UK government will advise Formula 1 racing teams based in this country not to participate in the forthcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, but not on the grounds of it not being safe to travel to Bahrain, rather because it is not possible to have normal relations with such an abnormal society.
Lastly, I wish success to the people of Bahrain in their struggle for the democratic change and freedoms which, unfortunately, some of them have now died for.
Yours sincerely

"When Libya gets over run by Manchester druggies wanting to rebuild the Hacienda in Tripoli people will realise why Libya is fighting so hard", Gadhafi's son. Or something like that.

I never understand the argument 'they know the risk' therefore we can't complain. You also 'know the risk' when you step on an underground train (that you might get blown up), join a forces March in Luton (that some fundamentalists might shout you down), or go to a match (get attacked by opposition fans). What relevance is it that these guys knew the risk?

It's not that good a post. I was under, perhaps the misapprehension, that HS lived there and in response to his WTF attitude to people having their brains blown out made a comment that perhaps the problem could be dropped in a cul de sac round his way.

Well, Heavenly. You seem to be well up for this debate so, as you’re on a roll, I’ll go back to a very simple question that I asked a little while ago on another thread. Do the Muslim community in Deeside have a right to buy a building for use as a cultural centre for themselves and others? Yes or no? I know that it’s not relevant to this thread but when I last asked, you seemed to hibernate for a while so, now I’ve got your attention back, how about a reply? As if

Hibernate your aving a luagh aint u. Not at all. You seem to go all quiet (a bit embarrassed maybe) when you're asked a question that you can't (or won't) answer. In fact you're pretty famous for it. So, been as you're here. How about an answer. It's pretty straight forward. Yes or no?

What are you talking about Of course they think it's a good idea. Or else why would they have bought the building in the first place But that wasn't the question. it was 'Do you think they have the right to?' Well?
