The Rotherham fans ( forum ) seem to think that a pitch inspection is needed....... Snowing now and its rained there for most of the night.

The pitch is the worst in the football league at the best of times... If this game gets the green light it will be a farce !!

It's snowing and there's a level of snow on the ground in Sheffield.

I am at the ground and IMO if the game was given the go ahead , I would be worried it would not finish. The wings are fine, but the middle of the park and goalmouths are atrocious. The millers groundsman is not confident as he thinks that playing on this would finish the ground as a playing surface for the rest of the season. Some of the Rotherham faithful are here and they all say the game should be called off now, never mind the pitch inspection. will update if/when I know more

Ref is waiting on weather, he was willing to leave the decision till 1pm, but because of travelling supporters he will make a decision before 12. IMO.....its cold, wet, sleety snow, the pitch is unplayable, but the ref is a nerd and keeps saying the flanks are fine....................I think he is waiting on a second opinion from another official.......just another poor ref

Why didn't ShrewsWeb 'warn' people of this forecasted weather a few days ago?
In a way wouldn't be a disaster if it was called off as it would give the other clubs a chance to catch up with us in games played thus giving us a better understanding of where we actually are in relation to games played / points achieved?

I think this is for the best.
Pitch sounds a complete mudbath apart from the wings.
Gives us a chance to let our rivals play their games in hand.
And 2 home games on the bounce now gives us an excellent chance to cement our position in the automatic places.

It really begs belief that this decision was not made at 9am, and to quote the town website that the pitch is "WET".......understatement. Well, just have to make do with watching Crawley beat the Mancs reserves, from the bar of a very warm pub
