Vale, Chesterfield, Salop and Rotherham (with Le Fondre) will be in top 7 come the end of the season.
Wouldnt be surprised to see Gillingham in the top 7 with Bury and Stevenage as outsiders.

Two reasons why they will........Marc Richards and Justin Richards, add to that the likes of Tommy Fraser, Louis Dodds and Jemal Johnson(if they keep him which I suspect they will) and they'll be nailed on certainties to be play off candidates at worst and in my opinion promotion candidates with ease, the best team in the league by far. Bang on.... I think Vale will win this league at a stroll, which is fine by me as long as we keep going and get up there with them come May.

Blum's by FAR the best poster on here! lol. Maybee only 9 games in but I'd say we're a 90% chance of a top 3 finish. You were a sight better than C'field who escaped with a draw, R'ham the ONLY other danger and they're a one man team.......

On paper I would certainly agree with what’s been said about the number of clubs who have impressed so far and who should be pushing for promotion. However, still a very long way to go yet. Things can change and inevitably do with the odd injury or a transfer or two come January (example, I'm sure Vale's start may have alerted others and maybe someone will eventually take a gamble on Le Fondre). Part and parcel as to why I think we will do well this season. Couple a good solid start with (hopefully) a bit of money available to the manager if we do need to strengthen and I think we’ll do ok. That is of course if some of the money received from Hart is available to the manager…

I've seen a few Vale games this season and they certainly look like one of the better teams in the league.
Will be interesting to see how they cope with injuries to key players though as I'm not sure their squad is the strongest. They don't appear to be in the greatest shape off the pitch either.
If they can keep the Richards brothers fit they will be strong contenders for the title I would say.

Gotta laugh at how Ned appears to be the only one right for a change

I always though Port Vale was the left side of a Burka

Some Vale fans thought we were up in September but it's a long old season! Beating Bradford last night was vital and I fully expect we'll dispatch Stevenage at Vale park next Tuesday. The top 7 have a nice little gap opening up now and they can finish in ANY order I recon and I include Chesterfield in that as they're now on the slide with 1 win in 7 and THAT v's Stockport. You've sent us 1,300 tickets for the game at your place but can sell double that of course if we're given the chance. .....

You do talk a good crowd though to be fair as fail park looked empty on Sky last night?
